Why was I charged before receiving my cryptocurrency? (2024)

When you order cryptocurrency, we briefly hold your card to check for enough funds. We don't charge you right away and we wait until you're verified and the transaction starts.

Before making an order, we must check if your payment method is valid and has enough funds. Our goal is to ensure our users have a safe and easy transaction, so we do this check to ensure your order can go through.

What happens if the transaction fails?

If the transaction fails or is canceled, we immediately cancel the pre-authorization. Normally, pending transactions disappear on the same day. However, sometimes it can take up to 10 business days, depending on your bank.
