Hello,

I recently purchased a refurbished iPad but upon checking it‘s model number I noticed that it starts with an "M", which (as I was told) means it’s a new device and not a refurbished device. What does that mean now? Is it a red flag?

iPad Pro, iPadOS 16

This is the full list of prefix identifiers - and their meaning.

  • M – Brand new device, meaning the device was purchased new
  • F – Refurbished device, meaning the device has been through Apple’s refurbishing process
  • N – Replacement device, meaning the originally bought device was replaced by this model likely due to a service request
  • P – Personalized device with engraving, meaning the device was customized with an engraving on purchase

Some devices that have been renewed/refurbished won’t necessarily have a changed model prefix. Where the logic board has been changed, the F-prefix is perhaps more likely to be present.

Prior history of an iPad cannot be established.

If you have purchased a renewed/refurbished device from Apple, it will have been through Apple’s own refurbishment processes. If purchased from some other source, you have no guarantee that the device has been refurbished to Apple’s own quality standards using OEM components.

Third parties have no access to Apple OEM components - other than parts scavenged from other similar devices.

FAQs

What statement is sufficient evidence that triangle DEF is congruent to triangle ABC? ›

If in triangles ABC and DEF, AB = DE, AC = DF, and angle A = angle D, then triangle ABC is congruent to triangle DEF.

Which information would be sufficient to prove quadrilateral blue? ›

To prove quadrilateral BLUE is a parallelogram, there are several pieces of information that could be sufficient: Show that both pairs of opposite sides are parallel. Show that both pairs of opposite sides are of equal length. Show that both pairs of opposite angles are equal.

When volleyballs are purchased, they are not fully.? ›

28 When volleyballs are purchased, they are not fully inflated. A partially inflated volleyball can be modeled by a sphere whose volume is approximately 180 in3. After being fully inflated, its volume is approximately 294 in3.

Which additional statement must be true for a parallelogram ABCD to be a rhombus? ›

Rhombus is a quadrilateral with all four sides equal in length. A rhombus is actually just a special type of parallelogram (just like square or rectangle). So ABCD is a rhombus means AB=BC=CD=AD. ABDE to be a rhombus it must be true that AB=BD=DE=AE.

What is the proof statement of a triangle? ›

Two triangles are congruent if and only if all three angle and all three sides of one triangle are congruent to the corresponding three angles and three sides of another triangle. If two sides of a triangle are congruent then the angles opposite them are congruent. Given: AB ≅ AC Prove: <B ≅ <C.

How do you prove ABC is congruent to DEF? ›

in triangle ABC and DEF, AB=DE(side) angle ACB=angle DFE(angle) angle BAC=angle EDF(angle) Therefore by AAS congruency criterion triangle ABC is congruent to triangle DEF.

What statement is sufficient to prove that a quadrilateral is a square? ›

If a quadrilateral has four congruent sides and four right angles, then it's a square (reverse of the square definition).

How do you verify that quadrilateral ABCD is a rectangle? ›

There are several easy ways to prove it is a rectangle. 1) Show that all angles are 90 degrees. 2) Show that one set of sides is parallel ,and that two opposite angles are 90 degrees. 3) Show that the diagonals bisect each other, and that they are equal in length.

Can volleyballs get wet? ›

The excessive moisture and heat to the ball brings a decrease of adhesion force, and the panels may peel off or may have discoloration. If you use water to clean the ball, please wipe the ball afterwards with a dry cloth. Please dry the ball out of direct sunlight in a well-ventilated place.

Is volleyball a cheap sport? ›

With an average annual cost of $595, volleyball is the 9th most affordable youth sport.

Can the ball go out in volleyball? ›

Is rhombus ____ a parallelogram? ›

A parallelogram is a quadrilateral with 2 pairs of parallel sides. The opposite sides on every rhombus are parallel, so every rhombus is a parallelogram.

Is a parallelogram ABCD a rhombus? ›

Given: The diagonal AC of a parallelogram ABCD bisects ∠A. We can use alternate interior angles property to show that the diagonal AC bisects ∠C and by showing all sides are equal, it can be proved ABCD is a rhombus.

Can ABCD be a parallelogram? ›

If the following conditions are fulfilled, then ABCD is a parallelogram. The sum of the measures of the adjacent angles should be 180° and opposite angles should also be of the same measure. Hence, using the given condition ∠D + ∠B = 180° we can say that yes, it may or may not be a parallelogram.

Which statement best explains whether ∆ ABC is congruent to ∆ def? ›

Which statement best explains whether △ABC is congruent to △DEF? Reflecting ABC across the y-axis will negate the x-coordinates, which will place it directly above triangle DEF.

Which theorem shows that triangle ABC is congruent to triangle def? ›

By the SSS Congruence Theorem, △ABC ≅ △DEF.

Which statement explains why △ ABC and △ DEF are similar? ›

sides are equal. Similar Triangles Two triangles △ABC and △DEF are similar (written △ABC ∼ △DEF) if all three corresponding angles are equal.

Which theorem justifies the statement △ ABC ≅ △ DEF? ›

Expert-Verified Answer. By ASA and SSS congruence theorem justifies that ΔABC ≅ Δdef. ASA congruence rule states that two triangles are said to be congruent if two angles and the included side of one triangle are equal to two angles and the included side of another triangle.
