Unlocking The King in Yellow[]
The King in Yellow can be unlocked via "Epic to Mythical" summons, only while the Cosmic Horrors banner is available. See Mythical Monsters for more info.
Mechanics[]
The King in Yellow deals Cosmic Damage, a new element with unusual, and not entirely understood, mechanics. What is known is that it is required to damage The Lord of the Tower, from The Cosmic Tower challenge, and can bypass the damage immunity of Ice Spirits, Lightning Spirits, and Fire Spirits.
Special Power: Cosmic Miasma: "The King in Yellow unmasks and the shock of it turns all of your monsters' affinity to Cosmic." The King in Yellow will change the affinity of all of your monsters to Cosmic, allowing them to do Cosmic damage instead of their normal element.
Strategy[]
The King in Yellow is considered necessary to progress to high levels of the Cosmic Tower and enables new setups for elemental challenges using Anubis+Deathbite/Devon or carries like Amaterasu/Jiraiya to be used without any concern for their element.
It is recommended not to use him in classic maps, as there isn't any element problem in those maps, and he will simply half the damage of your team due to his special power.
