If you’ve been playing Axie Classic the last two months, you might already be familiar with the Cursed Coliseum game mode. In Cursed Coliseum, there’s a lot of RNG involved as your axies get some of their body parts randomized throughout the series of games you have to play.
Now, the stakes are higher with Premium Cursed Coliseum. Starting today, players can enter the Premium Cursed Coliseum by paying an entrance fee of 150 SLP.
The rewards? Up to 3,000 SLP if you go on a 12-0 streak. (you can deposit SLP to play Premium Cursed Coliseum through this portal)
Here’s a quick breakdown of the reward scheme for Premium Cursed Coliseum:
Entrance Fee - 150 SLP
3 Wins - 50 SLP
6 Wins - 150 SLP
9 Wins - 300 SLP
12 Wins - 750 SLP
12 Wins with 0 losses - 3,000 SLP
The best part… a portion of the SLP entrance fee will be burned, while the rest goes to a growth fund to help fund rewards and sustain the game. Currently, 80% of the SLP profits will be going straight to the Operation Reserve fund, while 20% will be burned.
This marks the first time that Axie Classic will have a direct SLP burning mechanism which helps balance the economy.
This ‘fund-to-burn’ ratio may change on a monthly basis, and we will be advising the community on these changes moving forward.

Stickers Now Available in Axie Classic!
Ever wanted to talk some smack against your opponent? While we’re not letting you go full-on keyboard warrior just yet, you can now express more of yourself in-game with Stickers, available in the Classic Shop.
You can use your hard-earned Gold to purchase these stickers. Here’s a few of the ones already available in the shop:
Once you own these stickers, they will trigger automatically in-game during key moments, such as during a Critical hit, or when an axie dies, and of course, the good ol’ Victory sticker when you take the dub.
More stickers will be introduced soon, so keep stacking Gold if you want to get ‘em all!
The first Grand Tournament was a smashing success, with over 70,000 Lunacians battling it out in a grueling tournament series. This time, the Grand Tournament returns with 1,250 AXS, 3 Radiant Spirit Shells, and eternal glory on the line.
Here’s a quick look at the Grand Tournament Phases:
Grand Tournament: Phase 1
This is the registration phase for the Grand Tournament.
Registration Cost: 150 Gold
Registration Closes - 10AM VN, 15th Jan
Grand Tournament: Phase 2
Phase 2 of the Grand Tournament will have five total rounds where players are divided into different groups with their own leaderboard each time.

Duration: 2 Days
Start Time: 12PM VN, 15 Jan
End Time: 12PM VN, 17 Jan
Matches per player: 10
Winners: Top 30 players from each group receive 75 Gold each and qualify for Round 2
Round 2
Duration: 1 Day
Start Time: 2PM VN, 17 Jan
End Time: 2PM VN, 18 Jan
Matches per player: 10
Winners: Top 50 players from each group receive 150 Gold each and qualify for Round 3
Round 3
Duration: 1 Day

Winners: Top 25 players from each group receive 225 Gold each and qualify for Round 4

Winners: Top 100 players will receive 450 Gold and 1 AXS each. Top 16 players will also qualify for Phase 3, which consists of the Final Tournament.
General Rules
1 win = 1 point
1 loss = 0 points
Draw = match doesn’t count
Players can switch teams between matches
If multiple players have the same points, the Kill-Death-Round (K-D-R) of the players will be used as the tiebreaker, and the player with the better K-D-R will secure the higher position.
Grand Tournament: Phase 3

Moar Gold Inside The Chests
Everybody wants more Gold, so we’re making it easier for you to earn them faster!
We’ve adjusted the Gold rewards per chest, as well as adding a new “Common Chest” into the mix. The old Common Chest has now been upgraded to an Uncommon Chest, packing 8-16 Gold inside. While the Mystic Chest, with a 1% drop rate can pack as much as 256 Gold!
Currently, gold can be used to play Cursed Coliseum (regular) and to buy Stickers that you can use in-game. There may be more use cases for Gold in the future, so it’s best to keep stacking them.
Important Note: There has been a slight adjustment in the way chests are opened. Only 1 Chest unlock can be done at a single time. Once a Chest unlock timer completes, then the next Chest unlock timer will start.
