Description

To enable TLS 1.2 protocol on web browsers, see the list below.

  • Microsoft Internet Explorer
  • Microsoft Edge
  • Google Chrome
  • Mozilla Firefox
  • Apple Safari

Note: If you are using a Mac computer, you will need to be on OS X 10.9 or above. No additional updates to the browser settings will be needed as long as they are up to date.

For PC browsers follow the instructions below. Note that you have to be on Windows Vista or above to be able to enable TLS 1.2. Windows XP and Server 2003 don't support TLS 1.2.

Microsoft Internet Explorer

  1. OpenInternet Explorer
  2. From the menu bar, clickTools>Internet Options>Advancedtab
  3. Scroll down toSecuritycategory, manually check the option box forUse TLS 1.2

  5. Close your browser and restart Internet Explorer


Microsoft Edge

  1. In the Windows menu search box, typeInternet options.
  2. UnderBest match, clickInternet Options.

  5. ClickOK.
  6. Close your browser and restart Microsoft Edge browser.

Google Chrome

  4. Scroll down to the Systemsection and click on Openproxy settings...

Mozilla Firefox

  1. OpenFirefox
  2. In the address bar, typeabout:configand press Enter
  3. In theSearchfield, entertls. Find and double-click the entry forsecurity.tls.version.min
  4. Set the integer value to 3 to force protocol of TLS 1.2 to be the default.

Apple Safari

There are no options for enabling SSL protocols. If you are using Safari version 7 or greater, TLS 1.2 is automatically enabled.

    You have a screenshot of IE shown under the Chrome section. Chrome's proxy settings panel does not have an advanced option.

    Actually on Chrome if you are using MAC OS; you can go into Terminal and type the following command to bring up a version of Chrome that ignores SSL certificates.

    /Applications/Google\ Chrome.app/Contents/MacOS/Google\ Chrome --ignore-certificate-errors &> /dev/null &
