If you want to secure your website with an SSL/TLS certificate, you canuse a certificate you already own.
First, you need to upload the certificate. To do so, go to Websites &Domains and click SSL/TLS Certificates > Add SSL/TLSCertificate.
Type in the certificate name (you will use it to identify thecertificate in the list of all certificates), then upload it asdescribed below:
- If you store the certificate in the form of the
*.key
and the*.crt
files, scroll down to the Upload the certificate filessection and upload the files. If both the certificate and the privatekey parts of your certificate are contained in a*.pem
file, justupload it twice, both as the private key and the certificate. ClickUpload Certificate when you have finished. - If you store the certificate as text, scroll down to the Upload thecertificate as text section and paste the certificate and theprivate key parts into the corresponding fields. Click UploadCertificate when you have finished.
Following the steps above will result in the certificate being placed inyour repository. You can see a list of all SSL/TLS certificates in yourrepository by going to Websites & Domains > SSL/TLSCertificates.
Now that the certificate has been generated, you need to install it. Goto Websites & Domains and click Hosting Settings. Select theSSL/TLS supportcheckbox, select the certificate you have justuploaded from the Certificate menu, and click OK.
