Amazing game, really fun, but more mature than the website claims

This is a really good game, I'm 14 yrs old and I really like it, but sadly the reviews are incomplete. There is some blood, one of the items is a bloodstained first aid kit, and there is a dagger item that lets you inflict the "bleeding" effect on enemies, where cartoony blood spills out of enemies, dealing damage over time. There is also a corpse hanging from a chain in a secret room, and when you kill an enemy their corpse is left behind. You can turn off enemy corpses in the settings, but not the secret room corpse or the blood. There is also some language like hell and damn in the item descriptions, and some of the item descriptions are very dark. Overall, I would say this game is ok for 13 and up. It's a great game and I have 40+ hours in it and still haven't 100% completed it.

Common sense what have done?

And there you go. You just did it again, didn't you. Risk of rain 2 is a game where the difficulty ramps up the more you play, forcing a decision between staying for loot and rushing to the boss before it gets too hard. It's a fun balance which works well with the horde shooter gameplay and fast paced combat. Now, time to dissect the review in the rudest way possible. You, being common sense, lack common sense. This is not a looter shooter, this a rogue like, you absolute neanderthal. There is actual progression in this game, by the way. You just have to find new characters in the map. It's that easy. Just do it. Oh my god. This is a fun game. It's fun with friends. The whole idea is that you die, and then the game is different. That's the genre. Also, people on steam play this game for hundreds of hours. Just because you have the attention span of a gerbal on crack doesn't mean that everybody gets bored after 10 minutes like you do. auhdaowpdalsd;oaisdljkasds. I understand criticizing a game's difficulty, but tbh, risk of rain 2 is kinda par for the course in the genre, difficulty-wise, at least. Anyway, re-review rain world you fools.

Very fun title, as long as you don't have anger issues

Very very fun experience. It is quite difficult. it is just a very fun title. there is deep concepts and shakespeare-esk dialogue in the logbooks and dialogue but its something that even some adults playing wont really understand as they purposefully make it a challenge to uncover.

Fast Paced Co-operation Roguelite

Risk of Rain 2 is a fast paced loot shooter rogue-like that is increadibly difficult for those who have not experienced much of the genre or those who are new to gaming, but the game promotes teamwork with friends and other players as the game lets players who died revive at the next stage. But those players that you are playing with can steal items that you purchased with the cash you recieved from slaying monsters so it may not be best for a young child to play this game, especially with the fact that there are corpses, but those corpses can be turned off by going into graphics and scrolling down and turning body disapearance to instant and the max number of corpses to 0.

Masterpiece in the roguelike genre

Risk of Rain 2 is a masterpiece. It’s by far one of the best games I’ve ever played. But in case you weren’t sure if it was suitable for your child, read this.First of all, this game is EXTREMELY HARD. If you doubt the skill of your child when it comes to games like this, then playing it will only result in frustration. The game has mild fantasy violence, probably no worse than minecraft but for the fact that guns are a large theme. There is also a small amount of drug references.Overall I’d say that risk of rain 2 might not be for kids under 10 but other than that it should be fine.

A brilliant Rouge Lite

Risk of Rain 2 is a rouge lite shooter developed by hopoo games. In RoR2 you select your character and drop into an alien world where creatures periodically spawn in and attack you. Killing these enemies gives you gold which you can spend on chests that give you power ups. After collecting items, you summon a boss and upon killing it, you go to the next stage. RoR2 does have some drug references such as an item that seems like alcohol, but drinking it has a chance to severely punish your character, discouraging people to use drugs in the real world. Blood and gore are abundant, but it isn't too grotesque, and can be turned off in the settings. The game is definitely NOT for small children, but perfect for mature 11 year olds and teens.

A ton of fun if your into fast paced games

A really challenging game (and when I say challenging I mean challenging) and a ton of fun. There are a tiny bit of drug references and some blood but I think someone over the age of 11 can handle it. The boss at the end of each stage is pretty over powered and takes some work to kill. The game gets harder each time you progress. There are multiple characters you can unlock and play as, and you can get equipment each time you unlock chests with money.

SUPER GOOD

it is totally worth the money, there is no loading other than the very beginning of the game, NO LOADING, everything is very immediate and is given to you right away, there are always monsters to fight and chests to open. its hard to get the hang of to start but after that its so much easier. its a little violent and there is some blood but other than that its fine, in total its a really great game and most people will enjoy it quite a bit, there is an online mode but in my opinion its not as fun as playing with friends or by myself.

Fun, addictive, and a great entry into the roguelike genre.

Risk of Rain 2, the sequel to the roguelike masterpiece that is Risk of Rain, is one of the best games I have played and lives up to the original's standard of quality. Players get dropped onto a variety of stages and collect a random selection of items before fighting bosses to advance to the next. This game is a third-person shooter with quite intuitive controls across all platforms. If you cringed in fear of violence when reading "shooter", don't worry - there is no blood nor gore in Risk of Rain 2. Enemies simply disintegrate upon death, and no monster can be described as scary, unless you consider a giant lizard or a robot ball to be scary. The amount of unique items with details about them only accessible in a logbook (which you can't view while playing a game) makes this a wee bit inaccessible to newer players. However, the complexity of the item system gives the game lots of depth, and strategically thinking about what items synergize with the ones you have is a key component of the game.

Great game for teens and mature children

IMPORTANT NOTE: This is an extremely hard game, if your kids are looking for an easy and simple game, this is not for them. If your kids like a challenge then it should be suitable.Extremely fun rouge-like with consistent replay-ability Great game with frequent content updatesLots and items and customisation 10/10 Very Fun
