Is BUFF Market Legit?

BUFF Market is a legitimate P2P CSGO skin marketplace. It's basically an official copy of one of China's biggest in-game item marketplaces (buff.163), made specifically for Western countries.

It's not that popular yet, as it has been live only since April 2021, but the Chinese version is well-known and has an excellent reputation among CSGO traders (as evidenced by its presence on CSGO Trading Subreddit's whitelist).

On the list, you can find other legit websites like Dmarket. However, with how popular its Chinese version is, you can be sure that there are a lot of scammers that try to impersonate BUFF Market. That said, you should always double-check if you’re using the correct URL, which you can do by clicking the button below:

Reputation (5/5)

BUFF Market has a pretty good reputation among CSGO traders. Before the "western version" of the site came out, many traders were wondering if it would even work as well as its Chinese counterpart – and as it turns out, it works pretty well.

Okay, for now, it's not even close to the official version of the site, but you still have to admit that these results are outstanding for a year-old marketplace and show that the website enjoys a lot of interest and holds a good reputation - like Tradeit.ggand CS.Money.

All in all, BUFF Market is a very reputable website - in complete contrast with Lolga,

Price (5/5)

The pricing aspect on BUFF Market looks pretty attractive. From a buyer's perspective, it really isn't hard to find a good deal, and the lack of any hidden fees encourages you to shop right here. We’ll be honest with you – when the “western” buff.163 was coming out, it was tough to find a skin that wasn't overpriced.

But things have significantly changed – it's looking super good now, which is why you might want to give it a try in your 2022 trading game.

And what does it look like on the other side of the table? Just as good! First of all, it's worth noting the only 2.5% seller fee, which is extremely low. If you compare it to other popular CSGO skin marketplaces such as Bitskins (15% fee), Skinwallet (10%),or Skinport (12%), there is no doubt that if you want to maximize your trading profits, you should definitely check out BUFF Market.

Item Variability (4/5)

BUFF Market is not yet popular enough to match the item variability of its competitors, but it's still not bad. We even found some knives with rare patterns that are super hard to find.

There are more and more offers every month, but at the moment, we can't give a higher rating than 4/5, primarily because of the great scarcity of stickers and cases. You should have absolutely no problem finding weapon skins, though, and after all, this is what most of you are looking for.

User Experience (5/5)

BUFF Market has a straightforward and accessible User Interface, similar to those on other popular CSGO skin marketplaces. We didn't experience any lags while testing the site, and the login process took us a mere 10 seconds.

Listing items for sale works similarly to the Steam Marketplace. You select an item from your inventory, enter a price, and it automatically goes up for listing. It's that simple!

However, make sure that you'll be able to deliver an item within at most 12 hours of placing your offer because if you are unable to do so, you risk receiving a permanent ban for selling.

And when it comes to buying, again – everything works just like in the Steam Marketplace system. Even if an item is currently unavailable, you can make an offer to buy it at a specific price, and as soon as someone decides to sell that particular item, you are automatically notified about it.

One thing you can't do on the Steam Marketplace, and you can on the BUFF Market is the option to bargain with the seller, and we really love it. After all, rare items can cost a lot and therefore, not everyone can afford them, and sellers can have a hard time selling them. And who knows, maybe you will be able to use this to your advantage and even get a few tens or even hundreds of dollars lower?

It's also worth mentioning that BUFF Market also has a mobile app for both iOS and Android, and everything works just fine there as well. But well, it's hardly surprising that the use standards are high since this is one of the biggest Chinese in-game item marketplaces.

Customer Support (2/5)

We've praised BUFF Market for everything so far, but there are two aspects ahead where we can't do that. The first is their customer support, which runs on an outdated and slow ticket system. Although ticket systems can work week (MMOGAH), that was not the case here.

It took about a week to get our ticket reviewed, and that is far from the current standards on in-game item marketplaces. Moreover, even though we got a reply to our ticket, we couldn’t submit another one later, and that looks like a bug for us.

It's strange that such a big site doesn't even have a good FAQ section, and it's kind of like there wouldn't be any support at all, which can be a big problem for new CSGO traders.

Payment & Withdrawal Options (1.5/5)

And when it comes to their payment options, it's even worse. First of all, you can pay and withdraw your money only through Bank Transfer and MasterCard/Visa cards.

Unfortunately, in many banks, China is labeled as a "high-risk country" and may appear suspicious and result in your bank account being temporarily blocked until the situation is clarified. So yeah, we would much rather have the option to pay via Skrill or PayPal here.

And the minimum amount of money to even request a withdrawal is $50, and that’s quite a lot compared to BUFF Market’s competitors.

Moreover, in order to have the option to withdraw your money at all, you have to undergo KYC Verification. That’s right, and sending a scan of your ID to a Chinese company is not one of the first things you want to do on the Internet. Even if this company is legit, it still doesn't look the most appealing in the world, but well, they probably do it for legal reasons.

BUFF Market is an interesting marketplace, and it gets more interesting every month. However, if you're new to the CSGO Trading world or don't want to involve your bank account in your skin transactions, this is probably not the place for you.
