Every Google Account comes with 15 GB of storage that's shared across Google Drive, Gmail, and Google Photos. When you upgrade to Google One, your total storage increases to 100 GB or more depending on what plan you choose.

If your extra storage is for a personal account, you'll be automatically upgraded once Google One is available in your country. If your extra storage is for a Workspace Account, you can't upgrade because Google One isn't available for this account.

If you reach or exceed the free storage limit: Google Drive: You won't be able to sync or upload new files, and syncing between your Google Drive folder and My Drive will stop. You'll still be able to create Google documents since they don't take up any storage space.
