Where is the model number on the iPhone iPad or iPod touch? ›

Find the model number on the upper side of the connector — the side with the display. On an iPhone 7 or earlier, an iPad, or an iPod touch, find the model number on the back of your device.

Presuming the iPhone is in working condition and you can unlock it, the easiest way to identify it is to open the Settings app and then select General > About.
