1 Connect your crypto wallet
Connect your preferred crypto wallet where you want to swap from. MoonPay is compatible with WalletConnect and supports the most popular cryptocurrency wallets, such as Ledger, Trust Wallet, MetaMask, Rainbow, Uniswap, and Exodus.
2 Enter swap details
Enter the amount of your starting cryptocurrency and select a trading pair from a wide variety of combinations. Then, enter the destination address, which can be a different wallet application than the one for the base swap token.
3 Confirm the swap
Review the details of the exchange, including swap amount, destination crypto wallet address, exchange rate, as well as any transaction fees incurred. Click the __Swap__ button and you’ll be redirected to your wallet app.
4 Sign the transaction in your wallet
In your wallet application, sign the transaction to send crypto to the MoonPay wallet address to complete the exchange. Make sure that you have enough crypto in your wallet to cover any network fees.
5 Check your crypto wallet
After signing the transaction, your swap will begin processing. This typically takes between a few minutes and a few hours. You will receive an email once the swap is complete, after which you can check your cryptocurrency wallet to view your newly acquired coins, as well as your portfolio balance.

You can swap Bitcoin for other cryptocurrencies on the MoonPay app, as long as you have BTC stored in your MoonPay Bitcoin wallet to exchange BTC for new tokens. We’re working actively to make Bitcoin swaps available within the MoonPay widget for mobile and desktop users as well.
To see all available crypto trading pairs, you’ll need to connect your cryptocurrency wallet first. It’s best to use a MoonPay wallet inside the MoonPay app to unlock all crypto token options, as well as for a smoother swapping experience.
MoonPay handles the entire crypto conversion process for you. With non-custodial swaps, users must first send cryptocurrency before receiving the new token. For safety reasons, MoonPay generates a new crypto address for each transaction. You can track the status of your swap order at any time in the MoonPay widget.
Crypto exchanges usually take between a few minutes and a few hours, depending on factors including network congestion and token liquidity. If it is your first time using MoonPay, then verification will take additional time to complete.
