Energy System Rework & Update
Origin (Battles v3) Round Energy
For Axie Origin (Battle v3), the excess energy that you have at the end of each round will no longer remain in your energy pool and will be reset at the start of each round.
Linear Energy Gain: Energy For Arena
Axie Infinity announced that they are planning on reworking the energy system in the future. They are planning on giving players additional energy for each Axie they have on their account instead of players getting additional energy for accounts that has 10 or 20 Axies.
Difference between Arena/Adventure Energy and In-game Energy
The Arena/Adventure Energy
This energy is the one that you use to play cards. This can be seen at the lower left corner of the screen during combat in any game mode.
Arena Energy
When playing in Arena Mode, you get 3 energy at the start of every match. Then, at the start of every round, both players will receive 2 additional energy.
Adventure Energy
You will have 4 energy at the start of every match in Adventure Mode. You will gain 4 more energy at the start of each round. This also applies when you move to the next stage.

In-Game Energy
The In-Game Energy is the stamina that you use to gain SLP rewards for Arena Mode and to gain EXP in Adventure mode. Playing any game mode will cost 1 In-Game energy except when you lose in Adventure Mode. This can be located at the upper left corner of the screen in the main menu.

Additional Energy in Arena/Adventure Mode
Energy Steal
Energy Steal cards allow you to steal your enemy's energy if they have one in their energy pool. If your opponent has 0 energy, you will not gain energy from stealing.
Energy Gain
Unlike Energy Steal, cards with energy gain guarantees that you will get +1 energy if you are able to meet the card's requirements.

The SLP and EXP reward that you will gain varies and will depend if you still have an energy before playing a game mode.
