In its latest Dev Thoughts video, developer Hopoo Games announced that the upcoming expansion, 'Survivors of the Void', will now release in Q4 2022 on Switch rather than in the summer.

Announced in a developer update today, Hoppo Games and Gearbox Publishing has officially pushed the release of “Survivors of the Void” to Q4 of 2022 for console releases of Risk of Rain 2, as well as Stadia. This update comes after a few weeks of mostly silence regarding the console post of this expansion.
Survivors of the Void will launch on Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation®4, Nintendo Switch™ in Q2 of 2022, with Epic Games Store and Google Stadia coming soon.

Bandit is a playable character in Risk of Rain 2.
Due to this, publisher Gearbox have consistently fixed issues on the Risk of Rain 2 console editions. While lots of these changes are mainly bug fixes, here are the Risk of Rain 2 patch notes and bug fixes for patch 1.08.
The DLC will release on consoles in Q2 2022. Risk of Rain 2: Survivors of the Void will cost $14.99, with a 35% off launch discount for a brief period of time. This new DLC pack adds new enemies, new stages, and powerful new Void items. The expansion also adds the Railgunner class.
Only one player is required to own Survivors of the Void to enable the monsters, levels, and items to appear in-game for the whole lobby. Players without Survivors of the Void will be unable to select the two new survivors or permanently unlock new items, logbooks, or other content.

Anyway, the requirement to unlock the Bandit in Risk of Rain 2 is fairly easy enough. You just need to reach and complete the game's third teleporter event (on stage 3). You can do this on your favorite character and, once you're done, you'll obtain the “Warrior” achievement which nets you the Bandit.
It reduces all the holder's skill cooldowns by a flat 2 seconds (+1 second per stack), but will make their chance effects less likely to occur by rolling them 1 extra time (+1 per stack) to be unsuccessful.
You can unlock Serrated Shiv by completing the Bandit: sad*st challenge. This involves killing a monster with 20 stacks of hemorrhage.
Keep your eye on the sky and look for a purple beam of light to find the next Cell Vent each time. Once you have activated the ninth Cell Vent, you will receive the "... To Be Left Alone" achievement, which finally unlocks Acrid.

Unlike other characters like the Mercenary, the requirement to unlock the Huntress in Risk of Rain 2 is very straightforward: Reach and complete the third teleporter event without being killed. As players become more familiar with the game, they'll almost certainly become more adept at avoiding damage and death.

As was already announced, Risk of Rain 2 will still get one more big update and ongoing support, but otherwise, it's shifting to a paid expansion model to release “meaningful” new content that will “give RoR2 fans a reason to come back and support the game.” That's what I want to hear for a roguelike.
