Is cardless withdrawal available?
In April 2022, the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) announced cardless cash withdrawals at ATMs bringing the country under a Unified Payment Interface (UPI). This move has allowed cardless cash withdrawal from smartphones giving users the freedom to pay and transact without having to deal with cash at all.
1. Available on eligible BankSA transaction accounts with a linked debit card. Limit of 3 withdrawal transactions per day applies, subject to $500 daily withdrawal limit and $1,000 weekly withdrawal limit.
For cardless withdrawals, requesting customers would simply dial *770*8*AMOUNT# from their registered phone numbers and follow the on-screen prompts to create a one-time PIN (OTP), then enter the PIN to get a Paycode. At the ATM, the customer would enter the Paycode, PIN, and Amount to get the cash.
The beneficiary must visit an HDFC Bank ATM and select the 'Cardless Cash' option displayed on the screen. Then, enter details such as OTP, beneficiary mobile number, 9-digit order ID, and the transaction amount. Once the above details are validated, the cash will be disbursed by ATM.
It is a safe and secure method to withdraw cash from ATMs as it uses the mobile PIN to generate cash. Only some banks offer this facility. There is a daily transaction limit for getting cash without a card.

Can I withdraw $5000 from ATM?

The maximum amount of money you can withdraw from an ATM at one time depends on the bank. Most banks have ATM withdrawal limits ranging from $300 to $3,000 daily. For example, Bank of America advertises a $1,000 maximum daily withdrawal limit, or a maximum of sixty bills, for most accounts.
Unless your bank has set a withdrawal limit of its own, you are free to take as much out of your bank account as you would like. It is, after all, your money. Here's the catch: If you withdraw $10,000 or more, it will trigger federal reporting requirements.
