Does everyone get a drop at Nex?
If two players are in the room and both have contributed 50% to the fight, they'll each have a 1/53*2 chance to get a unique drop. The chance of receiving a unique from Nex is the same, but both players have half the chance. There's an additional bonus in place for the player who contributed most (the MVP).
In order to obtain drops from Nex, the player must deal a set amount of minimum damage. Getting a drop from Nex is considered a kill in the log.

Large monsters (that take up more than one square) will always drop their drops in the south-westernmost square. This also applies to any Ranged ammunition that falls to the ground when ranging those monsters. The player who has done the most damage will see the drop before the other players.
The drop rate is the frequency at which a monster is expected to yield a certain item when killed by players. When calculating a drop rate, divide the number of times you have gotten the certain item, by the total number of that monster that you have killed.

Simply dividing the number of successful drops by the number of drops will give you a proportion. For example, 20 successful drops out of 100 drops is a 20% chance of getting the successful drop.
Drops will remain on the ground for 200 game ticks (2 minutes or 120 seconds), after which they will disappear. Drops are invisible to other players for the first 100 game ticks (1 minute or 60 seconds), after which time, anyone will be able to see (and take) the item if it is tradeable.
Tradeable items appear to other players 60 seconds after being dropped, and disappear after another 120 seconds if not picked up.
Drop trading is not against the rules, but Jagex "strongly advise against" them due to its risky nature. Items worth over 1 billion coins (notably blood dye) cannot be dropped at all. Treasure chest (Carnillean Rising) may be used to transfer items, particular extremely valuable ones, in greater safety.
