There’s no shortage of survey sites out there. But how do you know which ones are surveys that actually pay? How do you know which are the best paid survey sites?

If you want to work from home, giving your paid viewpoint is one easy way to do so.

In this post, we’ll focus specifically on survey sites that pay cash through PayPal. Not only that but we’ll cover the highest paying online surveys.

Because let’s face it – free Amazon gift cards are nice, but sometimes you really just need cash.

When you complete an online survey, many of them will pay instantly via check or PayPal payment. Others will pay within 24 hours.

This list will help you find the best surveys for money so you don’t waste your time elsewhere. Make sure to check back regularly as we will likely add more survey sites as we find them.

For the record, there are actually a few more survey sites out there. However, those sites have so many red flags that I felt they’d be a waste of your time. Many of them have extremely long waits to pay out, or they may not pay at all.

This list should have more than enough opportunities for you to make money online via surveys.

Uncover the 19 Best Cash-Paying Survey Sites of 2024 – The Frugal Fellow (1)

How Do Survey Sites Work?

The way online survey sites work is pretty simple. You share your opinion on products/services with market research companies.

Then, you earn a predetermined amount (usually in points). Then you can use those points to either earn free gift cards or get paid in cash.

Completing paid surveys online is a quick and easy way to earn cash rewards. You probably won’t get rich doing it, but they can be fun regardless.

Why Complete Surveys For Cash?

Completing surveys for cash is a popular method for earning cash. Paid online surveys are popular because they are easy, you can complete them in your spare time, and they’re a simple way to make a little extra money.

When you start taking surveys, you provide your opinion which is valuable for companies and brands. This helps them market their products more effectively to consumers and increase profits.

But which surveys pay instantly? Let’s take a look.

Survey Junkie

Survey Junkie is one of the best survey sites out there. If you’re looking for an easy way to earn money taking surveys, this is it. They claim to have over 10 million active members, which sounds right because this is a very popular survey site.

You’ll get a signup bonus just for joining, for tasks like completing your profile and confirming your email. One thing you’ll also be asked to do is indicate your interests – this is always important for surveys.

They also have one of the lowest cash-out thresholds at just $10, which is much lower than most survey sites. Many sites out there (as you’ll find out later on) have $25 or even $50 minimums.

The only way to earn points (other than the bonus during signup) is completing surveys, but overall, Survey Junkie makes it easy to earn some extra money. This is a good, legit survey site.

Here’s how you get paid on this site:

  • Instant cash from Paypal
  • Gift cards for popular stores

Get started on Survey Junkie, one of my favorite survey companies.

Swagbucks

Swagbucks is one of my favorite survey sites. Why? Because there are plenty of high paying surveys. But, not only that, there are other ways to earn PayPal money:

As you can see, surveys are not the only way to earn some money online through Swagbucks. You can shop, watch videos, answer questions, browse, search, and even play games!

Plus, there are new surveys added every day. If you spend time online like me, Swagbucks is a great place to spend it.

Like I mentioned earlier, this is one of my favorite survey sites that pay cash because it’s so easy. Just complete a few easy tasks, earn points, and redeem! Pretty easy.

Swagbucks is a great side hustle, and how much you earn taking paid online surveys mostly depends on how much time you spend on it.

Here are all of the ways to get paid for surveys (and other tasks) at home:

  • Cash via PayPal
  • Gift cards for popular stores like Amazon, Walmart, iTunes, Target, and many more
  • Prepaid cash cards

Jobs2Shop

Jobs2Shop is a survey company based in Port Washington, NY. They were established in 2012.

This site has almost 2 million members, making it a fairly large survey site. You receive a $5 bonus for joining and almost anyone is eligible to join.

The best part? You can also earn points for referrals; this bonus will be $5 as well. On this site, you can complete surveys for cash only.

Here’s how you get paid on Jobs2Shop:

  • Cash via PayPal

Product Report Card

Product Report Card is a market research firm based in Colorado. They have been around since 2012.

With Product Report Card, you’ll get a $5-$8 bonus just for signing up and completing your profile. Completing your profile will take some time, but it’s worth it. After all, that is how market research firms determine what type of surveys to send you.

Most surveys will net a few dollars, but they also have focus groups that can pay up to $200. That makes this one of the highest potential earnings from a survey site. Of course, that will only be the case if you’re eligible.

The minimum payout for Product Report Card is $25. Once you hit this level, you can get paid with one of these options:

OneOpinion

Oneopinion may not be the first survey panel you hear about, but it certainly has its merits. This survey site has a signup process that is a little different, too.

Rather than filling out a form and instantly gaining access, you must be approved by OneOpinion.

The site has a virtual “assistant” (really just a chatbot) that guides you through the process. Once you answer all of the prompts, the site says they will let you know once approved.

Another way that OneOpinion is different is they have a relatively good matching process. In other words, there’s a better-than-average chance you will see surveys for which you qualify. This is a common problem with survey sites.

With OneOpinion, you take surveys for money and get paid in the following ways:

  • Receive payment through PayPal
  • Physical prepaid Visa cards
  • Virtual Visa gift card

Toluna

Complete surveys for money and get paid via PayPal. Pretty straightforward.

However, Toluna will also be sure you choose categories that interest you. Nothing is more mind-numbing than surveys about products you never use.

Here are the ways to be compensated for your paid viewpoint with Toluna:

  • PayPal payout
  • Rewards
  • Gifties
  • Sweepstakes

Rewards give you the option to cash out directly via PayPal or a paper check. You can also redeem a variety of gift cards. These include Amazon gift cards, Starbucks gift cards, and many others.

“Gifties” are interesting. They allow you to purchase items for a chance to win the real, physical item. The reason you might consider doing this is the items are a lot cheaper – between 50 and 500 points. Still, you only buying achance to get the real item.

Sweepstakes are straightforward. Redeem 500 points for a chance to win $4,500 or 1,000 points for a chance to win an LED TV.

Get started on Toluna to start earning money online!

PrizeRebel

PrizeRebel is a very nice survey panel. It’s easy to earn points and easy to get paid in return.

You may not have heard of PrizeRebel, but they’ve been around since 2007. That’s pretty much eons in the internet world. In other words, they’ve proven themselves as a successful online company.

PrizeRebel’s point earning and redemption is similar to most other survey sites.

Here’s how you get paid for taking online surveys through PrizeRebel:

  • PayPal Payment
  • Amazon and other gift cards
  • Prep-paid gift cards

Get started on PrizeRebel for surveys that pay cash instantly.

Survey Club

Another site that isn’t exactly new, Survey Club has been around since 2005. They are based in the US.

Survey Club doesn’t just have paid surveys, though. They also allow you to participate in studies and focus groups that could potentially pay more than typical surveys. Given how low the earnings can be on surveys, that’s a big deal.

Unlike many sites that allow you to earn redeemable points, Survey Club also pays in cash. I can see this being a draw as well since many people don’t like the extra step of redeeming points. There’s just something about earning actual money, isn’t there?

That said, you still have the options of other sites:

  • Amazon gift cards
  • PayPal
  • Check in the mail

Get started on Survey Club.

CashKarma

CashKarma comes in app form, available on Android and iOS. The app looks spiffy and works well. This is also not strictly speaking a paid survey app. Though you may find some surveys, it’s actually more task-oriented.

Nevertheless, it lets you earn a few bucks for completing simple tasks – not too bad.

Earn points and redeem:

  • Amazon gift cards
  • PayPal deposit

Pinecone Research

Pinecone Research definitely has something that sets it apart: possibly the highest paying survey in the industry. How does $3 per survey sound?

If you’re new to surveys, that might not sound like much. But it’s better than almost any other survey site out there. So, what’s the catch?

There really isn’t one, except that signups are by invite only. However, it’s not that hard to find links from various sources online.

The only other drawback to Pinecone Research is you might not be eligible for very many surveys. But they won’t send you surveys you won’t qualify for, so it’s not so bad.

They also have quite more than one payment method:

  • Cash deposited into your PayPal account
  • Amazon gift cards, and gift cards for other online stores
  • Get paid via check
  • Prepaid Visa card

Get started on Pinecone Research for some of the highest paying online surveys.

LifePoints

There seem to be a lot of negative reviews about LifePoints, but most of them also seem to be based on things not related to the surveys or payments.

For example, users might be frustrated with the app crashing or device incompatibility.

However, there are a lot of surveys available and the app is easy to use.

As the name implies, you earn points that you then redeem:

  • Gift cards for Amazon, iTunes, Verizon, and other retailers
  • PayPal direct deposit

Get started on LifePoints for surveys that pay cash instantly.

PointClub

PointClub is a newer survey site, and that’s a good thing in this case. Their site is clean and easy to use. It’s also mobile-friendly, so you don’t have to be glued to a computer to earn money taking online surveys.

You also get a $2 signup bonus (at the time of this writing).

It can be a little hard to qualify for surveys. Plus, the minimum payout is $50, which can take some time to accumulate. But, overall, the experience seems like a positive one.

Here’s how you can get paid for taking surveys with PointClub:

  • Instant cash through PayPal
  • Gift cards for popular stores like Amazon, Walmart, Target, Google Play, and more

YouGov

YouGov is headquartered in London, which might by why be why they highly emphasize privacy. They are also not a new company, having been around since 2000.

Many survey sites are localized, meaning they only accept participants from one (or a few) countries. This is where YouGov is different: they have participants in many different countries.

In a way, this makes sense. They want to have a varying set of opinions from a diverse group. In doing so, brands benefit from a robust warehouse of data.

Beyond that, YouGov is similar to most survey sites that pay cash: earn points and redeem. Here is how you can redeem your points on YouGov:

  • PayPal payment
  • Prepaid visa gift cards

We should also note that, depending on where you live, you may have other redemption options. These could include things like Wal-Mart gift cards and iTunes gift cards.

MyPoints

MyPoints is another survey site that has been around quite a long time. In fact, they are one of the oldest, having been around since 1996. It is meant for residents in the US and Canada.

Anyone can join, regardless of where you live. However, some of the rewards are may not apply to you if you are outside North America.

MyPoints is also another survey site that lets you earn a little extra cash in a ton of different ways. It’s not just about surveys! Like Swagbucks, you’ll earn points for surveys, searching, shopping, watching videos, and playing games.

However, you can also make money reading emails, printing coupons, and through sites like Groupon.

In addition to getting paid cash for online paid surveys on MyPoints, you can get gift card claim codes, too.

The minimum payout is $25, which is much lower than PointClub ($50), but it’s still higher than other sites. Overall, this is a solid survey site that pays cash.

Here’s how you can get paid on MyPoints:

  • Prepaid travel card
  • PayPal
  • Virtual Visa gift card

Get started on MyPoints for your first paid survey.

Global Test Market is another survey site which, whether you’ve heard about it or not, has been around a long time. Two decades to be exact.

Founded in 1999, this is one of the oldest survey sites out there. They have changed hands in the past but are now owned by Lightspeed Research which is based in the US.

Another thing that sets this site apart is that it is legitimately all over the world. To be precise, it servesover 60 countries worldwide.

Beyond that, this is a fairly standard survey site. Take a paid survey, get points, redeem for rewards. That said, payouts are quick and so are their rates.

Overall, this is one of the better survey sites that pays cash. Here’s how you get paid:

  • Free PayPal money
  • Checks

E-Poll Surveys

E-Poll surveys is another survey site that has been around for quite a long time; since 1997, to be exact.

Compared to some other survey sites, though, the number of surveys available is a bit low. Once you do have new surveys available, you will receive an email notification.

On the plus side, the reward threshold on this site is quite low at just $5. That will allow you to pick a $5 gift card. So even though you probably won’t earn much, you can add it to the list and take surveys when they are available.

Here’s how you get paid on E-Poll Surveys:

  • Free PayPal money
  • Free gift cards for popular stores such as Amazon and Target

Earning points with ClickPerks is fairly typical – complete surveys and other offers. However, you can also earn points for receiving promotional emails, watching videos, and shopping.

The site also won’t waste your time if you aren’t eligible for surveys. Rather than letting you spend 10-15 minutes on them only to say “sorry,” it will let you know almost immediately.

And, one of the best things about this site is you can cash out with very low point totals. No waiting until you’ve earned 50 points. Overall, this is a great way to earn free cash taking surveys.

They also have options other than just surveys that pay cash, including games and sweepstakes. Overall, Opinion Outpost is a solid survey site. It’s definitely legit.

Here’s how you get paid on Opinion Outpost:

It’s not that tough to find an online survey that pays cash. However, if you want to do surveys for money, this list is a great place to start. Most survey sites are legit, but there are a few scam sites. In this list, we helped you avoid the scams.

More importantly, though, we gave you a list of survey sites that pay through PayPal. If you want to get paid within 24 hours, this is the way to do it.

Since you can’t pay the bills with gift cards, we wanted to be sure you know which ones have a cash payout available.
