Guess who owns it?

- For starters, this is the 4th largest Bitcoin address in the world and not a single sat has ever been withdrawn from it.
- It begun receiving Bitcoin in June 17, 2019 and has so far recorded a total of 39 transactions.
- A whooping 43,000 BTC were added during the last transaction on January 4.
On January 3, Satoshi Nakamoto was trending. People around the world were celebrating the Bitcoin creator for inventing a disruptive technology.
For those who don’t know, Bitcoin has been around for 13 years . Satoshi mined the first Bitcoin way back in Jan 3, 2009.
But even after thirteen years, very few people own a whole Bitcoin. Let’s take a quick look at the on chain data below.
The data shows there are 667,291 addresses holding 1 to 10 BTC. When you focus on higher balances, say 10 to 100 BTC, the addresses holding such amounts start shrinking.
Now, before you say that’s a hell lot of rich people, just give it a moment thought that the world population is about to clock 8 billion. And, I think, this demonstrates just how hard it is to stack Bitcoin for most people across the world.
As you may have noticed from the Bitcoin rich list above, there are only 4 addresses within 100,000 to 1 million BTC range. Its mind blowing knowing that there is a person behind each of these 4 addresses.
But guess what, even Michael Saylor and Elon Musk combined still fall short of 100,000 BTC mark even after spending about 5.2 billion to convert part of their individual companies’ (MicroStrategy and Tesla) balance sheets to Bitcoin.
