Why is Creating a Positive Money Mindset Important?

Creating a positive money mindset is important because it will help you achieve your financial goals. It can also help you find ways to makemore money andsave more money.

A positive money mindset means that you are focused on making the most of what you have and not complaining about what you don’t. You are confident about your financial decisions and have the right amount of self-respect so that you won’t be taken advantage of by others in your work or personal life.

Solutions to Help You Build a Positive Money Mindset

There are two main types of solutions that can help individuals develop a positive money mindset. The first is where people are guided through the process of thinking about their money in a more positive manner in order to produce positive financial outcomes. The second is where individuals are helped to think about and plan for meeting their goals.

There are many reasons why people’s attitudes towards money might be negative. These could be external, such as ineffective parenting and traumatic events, or internal, such as genetic predisposition or mental illness. For this reason, it’s important to have a variety of solutions at your disposal when you want to build up a person’s positive money mindset.

The Importance of Building a Positive Money Mindset (1)

1. Create your own affirmations for positive thinking

The goal of the activity is to distinguish between positive and negative thinking.

1) Make a list of statements that you believe to be true about how you think about money

2) Make a list of statements that you believe to be false about how you think about money

3) Now, swap the lists and try to come up with new statements for each statement on your original lists.

You can also create your own money affirmations. My favorite ones to use are “I am a money magnet” and “money flows easily to me”. If you can’t think of your own, have a look on Pinterest as it is full of great affirmations.

You should write them down in a notebook or perhaps as part of your dailyjournaling, and say them throughout the day. Say these affirmations in a strong confident voice. You may feel silly to start with, but the more you do it the more confident you will be.

2. Read personal finance books from the library or bookstore

Read personal finance books from the library or bookstore to improve your knowledge on budgeting, saving, and investing.

You should read at least one book per month on a related topic. This will allow you to improve your knowledge in the personalfinance areaas well as get a better understanding of what other people are doing. Reading books is also a great way to motivate yourself to change your financial situation for the better.

Knowing more about any subject helps to improve your mindset on it. The more you know about personal finance etc, the better your money mindset will be.

3. Make some changes to your daily routine – do what you love every day

Look at what you do every day and see where you are spending money. See if you can cut any of these costs, i.e. take lunch to work instead of buying lunch each day. Small changes like this will help you to feel more in control of your money, which will improve your money mindset.

I’m sure if you honestly look at your spending over the month, you will find more things than you never thought to cut from your budget. Getting a budget planner canhelp with this.

And, why not try meal planning/prepping. Not only will this save you money, but again you will feel more in control of your finances and never have that what shall we have for dinner conversation again.

4. Take on side hustles so that you can feel empowered and not scared of taking small risks

Starting a side hustle may seem daunting at first, but once you start you will be looking for more!

There are so many side hustles out there, from doing surveys, scanning your receipts, starting a blog and the list goes on.

Side hustles are a great source of extra income. There are people that have started something as a side hustle and it has ended up being their full-time income. Try a few things and see what you like doing.

Having this little bit of money will make you feel less negative about the money you have coming in and improve your money mindset greatly.

5. Change your environment by purging clutter, creating calm spaces, and finding other people who have healthy money mindsets

The more clutter you have in your environment, the less open you are to new ideas.

By removingclutter andcreating calm spaces, you can begin to feel more relaxed and open to new thoughts and ideas. You can also sell some of the things you decide to get rid of and make yourself a nice bit of money, just don’t spend it on more clutter lol.

What’s more, surrounding yourself with like-minded people can help both your mental health and creativity.

You can find like-minded people through Facebook groups and by searching Twitter and Instagram. There are a lot of people out there who want to improve their money mindset and their personal finances.

Conclusion

As you can see, there are lots of things that can help you to improve your money mindset. It doesn’t have to be difficult and you can take things at your own pace. Don’t try and make all of these changes at once or you may overwhelm yourself.

I would love to know if you have made some money affirmations or if you have ones that you already use. Let me know in the comments below.
