It has features Realtors have been clamoring for years, like neighborhood search, school search, comps, hot sheets, flood zone maps, and even a tool that lets you publish listings on Facebook.

Sadly, MLS Touch is only sold to associations. So, if yours still uses that other app, you’re out of luck. We’re just happy that real estate technology seems to be finally coming out of the dark ages. Here’s hoping we get more cool apps like MLS Touch in 2024.

38. REAL Messenger (Update)

The 39 Best Apps for Real Estate Agents (Including 2 to Watch) in 2024 (73)

In our last update to this article, we couldn’t help but include REAL Messenger on our list. This real estate agent app seemed tailor-made for success: an exclusive club where buyers, sellers, and agents can network around high-end pocket listings. They even had celebrity real estate agent Fredrik Eklund running the show. So, how has it fared since our last update?

As of September 2023, REAL has reached over 350,000 downloads with access to more than 90% of listings in the United States. It seems to have hit its stride in its mission to “connect and empower the real estate community through technology.” In fact, REAL made waves in 2023 by announcing it was listed on NASDAQ with a valuation of $150 million. We’re excited to see the journey continue.

The 39 Best Apps for Real Estate Agents (Including 2 to Watch) in 2024 (74)
  • The 39 Best Apps for Real Estate Agents (Including 2 to Watch) in 2024 (75) Pricing: TBD

The 1060 App is another new social-media-meets-real-estate app to watch. Endorsed by real estate luminaries like Jason Oppenheim, Tomer Fridman, and the Sean McPeak team at SERHANT, 1060 takes the high-end pocket listing idea one step further than REAL Messenger. Like TikTok, the videos on the platform are short—under 60 seconds. Just enough to offer a sneak peek of a hot new property.

It sounds like a TikTok clone for real estate, right? Not so fast. The app has one killer feature that TikTok lacks: property search. Buyers on the app can search for homes based on criteria like price, number of bedrooms, neighborhood, or even keywords. Pretty cool, right?

What Are Real Estate Apps?

Real estate apps are programs designed for phones and tablets that help real estate professionals and their clients generate leads, market homes, and buy and sell properties. While most real estate apps are mobile versions of websites designed for desktop computers, some, like Curb Hero, were designed specifically as apps for mobile devices.

Methodology: How We Chose the Best Real Estate Apps

Even though our team has over 50 years of combined real estate experience, choosing the best apps wasn’t easy. To ensure we were using objective measures instead of just our opinions, we asked these questions to choose our picks for the best real estate apps for our readers:

  • Utility: Seek out apps that address practical challenges you’re already facing. You want to improve and streamline your workflows, not make your work harder.
  • Pricing: Opt for apps that offer you value. While affordability is key, you should also consider the potential return on investment (ROI). If an app or feature upgrade is pricey but will boost your efficiency (or your leads), it might be worth the investment.
  • Ease of use: Focus on choosing apps with user-friendly interfaces. We’ve done our best to find apps that have an intuitive design. Again, focus on your real estate tasks rather than learning a complex new app.
  • Network effect: Prioritize apps widely used and recommended by the real estate community. After all, a larger user base usually means better support and a more stable app experience.
  • Stability: Ensure the apps you rely on are stable and function smoothly. They should have minimal bugs, crashes, or technical issues. We’re looking to enhance your business—not disrupt it.
