Summoning (2024)

Summoning can be done at the summon portal

Players may summon monsters with currencies, some of which are solely used for summoning, receiving a random monster from the available rarities each time.

If a player summons a monster they have already unlocked, then the monster gains progress towards increasing its star tier. The number of summons required to unlock a star tier are:

Summons from previous tier /Total summons required
BronzeSilverGold
11/1(unlock)4/107/28
22/35/158/36
33/66/219/45

Certain monsters, known as Special Monsters, are only available during limited time events, and have unique Summoning Stones. They increase their star tier by using Summoning Stones:

Stones from previous tier/Total stones required
BronzeSilverGold
11,000/1,000(unlock)4,000/10,0007,000/28,000
22,000/3,0005,000/15,0008,000/36,000
33,000/6,0006,000/21,0009,000/45,000

After getting a unit to 3 gold stars, players are rewarded with Gold for every additional duplicate: 1,000 gold per Common, 2,000 gold per Rare, 3,000 gold per Epic, 4,000 gold per Legendary, 5,000 gold per Mythical, and 3,000 fish coins per Pirate.

Monsters can be summoned with:

  1. Summoning Orbs
  2. Gems
  3. Mythical Gems
  4. Super Mythical Gems

Different kinds of summoning[]

The following tables list the odds of getting a monster of a given rarity from each of the 3 main kinds of summoning. Please note these tables assume you have unlocked all 9 of the pirate cats from the Pirate Cats vs Queen Mela campaign, and both Slime King and Deathbite from Joint Revenge. Also note that these are the TOTAL chances of getting ANY monster from a given rarity, and that not all Epic Monsters have the same chance of being rolled.

Summoning Orb Summons[]

Summoning Orbs are green, round gems which are primarily earn from defeating heroes on the Classic Maps. Each hero drops 3 Summoning Orbs, and "Common to Legendary" summons cost 10 orbs each. A player can, and must, perform 10 summons at once if they have at least 100 orbs, with no effect on the chance for each rarity.

Gem Summons[]

Gems are obtained from the Seller (1-10 for 30 coins each), the Monitor, enemy drops, and from Achievements

In exchange for 60 Gems, the player can summon an Epic or Legendary monster. Unlike the "Common to Legendary" summons, the player can't use 10 of these at once, even if they have over 600 Gems,

Mythical Gem Summons[]

Mythic Gems are hexagonal red gems. They are obtained by completing weekly achievements, or are purchased from the Shop. They can also be gifted by the developers in the mailbox. Mythical monsters are divided by pantheons, and only monsters from the currently available pantheon can be summoned. Each pantheon is available for a month, with 1 day between them when no Mythical Monsters are available.

It costs 100 Mythic Gems to do a Mythical summon. Unlike the "Common to Legendary" summons, the player can't use 10 of these at once, even if they have over 1,000 Mythic Gems.

The odds of getting a Mythical Monster are currently incredibly low. It is still unknown what the exact summoned rate is for Pirate Cats, but it appears to be slightly less than half of the chance to summon Epic monsters. Chances are affected by the number of Pirate Cats that have been "rescued" by the player. (Probably. Please confirm, and assume that all 9 have been rescued when editing the tables on this page.)

Super Mythical Gem Summons[]

Super Mythical Gems are a more ornate version of Mythic Gems, and are used at the Mythical Summon Portal, which guarantees the player 1 Mythical Monster of their choice. The cost of using this summon is 1 Super Mythical Gem.

I am an avid enthusiast and expert in the realm of summoning within the context of a game, specifically focused on the mechanics involved in summoning monsters through various portals. My knowledge extends to the intricate details of summoning currencies, the rarity system, and the specific methods employed to acquire and progress monsters. Allow me to delve into the concepts mentioned in the provided article.

Summoning and Star Tier Progression: Summoning is facilitated through the summon portal, where players use different currencies to summon monsters. The rarity of the summoned monster is determined randomly, and each summon contributes to the progression of the monster's star tier. If a player summons a monster they have already unlocked, the monster gains progress towards increasing its star tier. The number of summons required to unlock a star tier is calculated based on the current and previous tiers, with specific summoning milestones for Bronze, Silver, and Gold tiers.

Special Monsters and Summoning Stones: Special Monsters, available only during limited time events, have unique Summoning Stones associated with them. These stones are used to increase the star tier of these monsters. The number of stones required varies for different tiers, and players must collect these stones during the limited-time events.

Duplicate Rewards and Gold Stars: Upon reaching 3 gold stars for a unit, players are rewarded with gold for every additional duplicate. The amount of gold varies based on the rarity of the monster, ranging from 1,000 gold per Common to 5,000 gold per Mythical, along with 3,000 fish coins per Pirate.

Summoning Methods: Monsters can be summoned using different items:

  1. Summoning Orbs: Green, round gems earned from defeating heroes on the Classic Maps. The cost of summons varies for different rarities, and players must perform 10 summons at once if they have enough orbs.
  2. Gems: Obtained from various sources, including the Seller, the Monitor, enemy drops, and achievements. Gems are used for Gem Summons, with a fixed cost for summoning Epic and Legendary monsters.
  3. Mythical Gems: Hexagonal red gems acquired through weekly achievements or purchased from the Shop. Mythical Gems are used for summoning monsters based on pantheons, with each pantheon available for a month.
  4. Super Mythical Gems: Ornate versions of Mythic Gems used at the Mythical Summon Portal. They guarantee the player one Mythical Monster of their choice.

Odds of Getting Monsters: The article provides tables showcasing the odds of getting monsters of different rarities from each summoning method, including Summoning Orb Summons, Gem Summons, Mythical Gem Summons, and Super Mythical Gem Summons. These tables detail the chances for Common, Rare, Epic, Legendary, and Pirate monsters.

In summary, the summoning system is a complex and strategic aspect of the game, involving different currencies, rarity progression, and specific methods for obtaining monsters with varying odds.
