Which is better, ranger or accelerator? ›

Ranger: Very impressive DPS, with around 85 DPS. This is above most towers and is very effective for killing bosses. Accelerator: Highest DPS, with over 400 DPS, however its only around 250 with the ROF bug. Still the highest DPS in the game.

Strategy. For the mid and late-game, the Accelerator can be extremely powerful. Multiple Level 3-4 Accelerators are a cost-efficient way to get through the mid-game. The Farm or other towers that generate income like the Golden Cowboy are recommended, as the Accelerator's upgrades are quite expensive.

Accel is the most effective out of all the towers for shredding the boss. It's not too expensive. (Compared to Ranger, Turret and Engineer) Only Golden Minigunner is cheaper than it. But the DPS is incomparable to Accel.

Midway through the game, several Level 2-3 Golden Minigunners are effective in wiping out hordes of enemies for an effective price. While this is a cost-effective way to triumph maps, this is not the best tower in terms of DPS. In terms of DPS and range, the Engineer, Ranger and Accelerator are far more effective.

The Ranger deals extremely high damage at higher levels, but is expensive to upgrade to these levels. Due to these reasons, it is considered a mid-to-late game tower and is most effective for harder gamemodes. The Ranger has a placement limit of six per player.

Accelerator ( 一方通行 アクセラレータ , Ippō Tsūkō (Akuserarēta)^?, lit. "One-Way Road") is the 1st-ranked Level 5 and the strongest esper currently residing in Academy City.

Now, everyone knows that the accelerator is one of the best towers on the game (right behind engineer in terms of sheer dps) but the issue is, it deals TOO much damage for tds. To put it in comparison minigunner deals like 70 dps when maxed out while the accel deals up to 230 dps when maxed.

The Freezer can be very effective at slowing down enemies, especially at Level 3+, as its burst count allows it to freeze an enemy in a single burst.

Warden in it's base form has a higher dps than glad, but when it reaches later game glad has a lower dps without ability while warden also they both can block stun attacks, but warden has stun every hit later on and a higher dps of 144 while glad has a dps of 78. So in my opinion warden is better.

The Warden is an advanced ground tower with short range that can be purchased from the store for 4,000 after triumphing Pizza Party. Alternatively, it is obtainable through a gamepass for 800 without having to triumph the map. The Warden attacks enemies with its baton.

Is Minigunner better than Cowboy? ›

Yes, Minigunner has greater range, but it has lower DPS. The total damage a Minigunner could inflict on the zombie is in fact less than a Cowboy (not to say that Cowboy has special ability at level 5). Cowboy can do more dps, but you have to micro the ability for every cowboy.
