Where have new chats gone on Kik? ›

When you receive a message from someone new, the chat with them will appear under New Chats. To manage these messages: Go to your New Chats. Tap the chat you want to open.

If you're not receiving notifications while on a data connection, it may be due to a feature called Data Saver. In your Settings, go to Connections > Data usage > Data saver to see if it's enabled. If it's on and Kik isn't whitelisted, you may not receive notifications until you open the app again.
