Using data to improve lives

Hi, I’m Michelle. As a Data and Performance Analyst at the Department of Homelessness and Supportive Housing, we use data to improve the lives of fellow San Franciscans. I have used data to maximize the impact of our outreach efforts to people living on the streets, monitor critical incidents to protect people in our shelter and housing, and forecast the resources needed to end unsheltered homelessness in our City.

Elevating impactful programs

I’m Bee and I’m an Analyst at the SF Public Library. I lead my team in analyzing and visualizing data on the status of library programs available to incarcerated people across the country. I enjoy learning about the variety of policies and conditions at state prisons and sharing this information with my colleagues at libraries across the country.

Keeping San Francisco healthy

My name is Alyssa. As a Budget Analyst at the San Francisco Department of Public Health, I oversee and report on a $60M budget for 87 mental health programs that serve 46k+ clients. The work is complex, challenging, and highly rewarding because I am able to play a part in ensuring that critical behavioral health services are provided to the most vulnerable and marginalized groups within our community.

Improving critical infrastructure

Hi, I’m Gary and I am a Contract Analyst at the San Francisco Public Utilities Commission. I oversee the contract solicitation process for major construction projects, like the Water Main Replacement Project, which will replace 60 to 100-year-old pipes to ensure reliable water delivery within the City. Born and raised in San Francisco, I enjoy seeing my work support growth in communities and improve the Bay Area’s infrastructure.
