Mutant (2024)

Mutant is a vehicle that costs 1 500 000 coins to unlock.

Description

The future of automobiles is here! Tap both pedals to change shape!

General description

The Mutant is a futuristic sports car-like vehicle appearing in Hill Climb Racing, which has the ability to transform. It has fast top speed, decent acceleration, good stability, and is rather cheap to upgrade, but has extremely poor grip and fuel efficiency.

The Mutant can change shape when both pedals are quickly tapped at the same time. It has 3 forms:

  1. SUV Mode. In SUV mode, Mutant has a high bouncy suspension, decent speed and acceleration, medium grip, but it can tip over easily. This mode should be used when driving over difficult terrain, but is generally the least used mode.
  2. Race mode. In race mode, Mutant lowers its suspension and body panels, disables front wheel drive and activates its downforce system. It accelerates slower than some other speed-based cars such as the Fast Car, Race Car, or Rally Car, but once you get up to speed, you'll be going really fast. You should use this mode in most situations.
  3. Ball Mode. In ball mode, Mutant moves its body panels closer to the middle, flips to an upright position and inflates a giant ball wheel that pushes back virtually any threat. You are nearly unkillable in this mode, but anything that has enough force to go through the top of ball and touch the driver will still kill you. You can switch to ball mode from race mode to initiate a "jump" and it's the only vehicle that can do that. You are generally very slow in this mode, but you have the highest grip on land, your speed in water is the fastest of all the three modes, and you are also a decent hill climber. You should use this mode anytime when driving in liquids or if you think you're going to die. It is a lifesaver for many people (especially those with skilled reflexes) as they can quickly switch from race mode to ball mode when they notice they could hit their head and end their run.

Overall, the Mutant is an almost perfect vehicle, but its poor grip and fuel efficiency holds it back from potentially being the best vehicle in the game.

Learning the perfect momentum to change its form make this vehicle reliable in many stages.

Upgrade Costs

The cost of fully upgrading this vehicle is 4 634 500 coins, not including the cost of buying the car itself.

FAQs

What does it mean to be called a mutant? ›

/ˈmjuː.tənt/ an organism that is different from others of its type because of a permanent change in its genes: These mutants lack a vital protein which gives them immunity to the disease.

Do mutants exist in the world? ›

Mutants are actually extremely common,” says OMRF scientist Dr. Chris Sansam. “Someone without any mutations would be the real anomaly.” Mutations are changes to a person's genetic code, and they can come about from exposure to an external environmental factor, such as cigarette smoke or radiation.

What does mutant mean in biology? ›

(myoo-TAY-shun) Any change in the DNA sequence of a cell. Mutations may be caused by mistakes during cell division, or they may be caused by exposure to DNA-damaging agents in the environment.

What is a mutant Xmen? ›

Description. Mutants are superhuman beings that are born with a genetic mutation called an X-Gene that causes their bodies to develop abilities that regular humans, hom*o sapiens, are unable to.

Can humans be mutated? ›

Although the human per-generation mutation rate is exceptionally high, on a per-cell division basis, the human germline mutation rate is lower than that recorded for any other species.

Can humans become mutated? ›

Genetic variations are important for humans to evolve, which is the process of change over generations. A sporadic genetic mutation occurs in one person. That person passes their genetic mutation onto their children (hereditary), and it continues for generations.

Is a mutant a human? ›

In American comic books published by Marvel Comics, a mutant is a human being that possesses a genetic trait called the X-gene. It causes the mutant to develop superhuman powers that manifest at puberty. Human mutants are sometimes referred to as a human subspecies hom*o sapiens superior, or simply hom*o superior.

How do you identify a mutant? ›

Two groups of tests, molecular and cytogenetic, are used in genetic syndromes. In general, single base pair mutations are identified by direct sequencing, DNA hybridization and/or restriction enzyme digestion methods.

Do humans have mutant genes? ›

These hereditary (or inherited) mutations are in almost every cell of the person's body throughout their life. Hereditary mutations include cystic fibrosis, hemophilia, and sickle cell disease. Other mutations can happen on their own during a person's life. These are called sporadic, spontaneous, or new mutations.

Is Deadpool A mutant or mutate? ›

Deadpool (born Wade Winston Wilson) is a mutant who possesses superhuman strength and an accelerated healing factor, which he obtained from the Workshop program.

Who is the mutant God? ›

Peter Parker consequently didn't become a mutant during his puberty, but developed his Spider-Man powers.

Are blue eyes a mutation? ›

Blue-eyed? Thank a genetic switch that turns off your body's ability to make brown pigment in your peepers. Researchers have finally located the mutation that causes blue eyes, and the findings suggest that all blue-eyed humans share a single common ancestor born 6000 to 10,000 years ago.

How often do humans mutate? ›

Every time human DNA is passed from one generation to the next it accumulates 100–200 new mutations, according to a DNA-sequencing analysis of the Y chromosome.

How long does it take for a human to mutate? ›

The human germline mutation rate is approximately 0.5×109 per basepair per year.

What causes humans to mutate? ›

Mutations can result from errors in DNA replication during cell division, exposure to mutagens or a viral infection. Germline mutations (that occur in eggs and sperm) can be passed on to offspring, while somatic mutations (that occur in body cells) are not passed on.

Why did humans stop evolving? ›

It has been argued that human evolution has stopped because humans now adapt to their environment via cultural evolution and not biological evolution. However, all organisms adapt to their environment, and humans are no exception.

Will humans ever stop evolving? ›

All creatures are always evolving. There is no way to stop evolution. Humans are still evolving. The ability of adult humans to digest milk is a recent evolutionary change brought about by the domestication of the cow.

Who is the 1st mutant? ›

30th century B.C.

En Sabah Nur stated that he was the first mutant was often stated to be, and thought himself to be (his name meant "The First One"), although Selene predated him by 12,000 years at least. He was reportedly born 5,000 years ago, in Egypt, during the First Dynasty (30th century B.C.).

Can mutations be good? ›

Beneficial Mutations

Some mutations have a positive effect on the organism in which they occur. They are calledbeneficial mutations. They lead to new versions of proteins that help organisms adapt to changes in their environment. Beneficial mutations are essential for evolution to occur.

How many mutations does a person have? ›

When those copies are made inside the parents' bodies, errors or “mutations” can occur. So how many unique mutations does each human have in their genes? A 2011 study in Nature Genetics examined the genomes of two human families and found that children in the study had an average of 42 unique mutations.

Can a human have superpowers? ›

Humans may not have the ability to sense danger with Spiderman-style “spider-senses,” or sprout adamantium claws like Wolverine, but there are humans walking among us that have their own superpowers. These superhumans have powers the typical person would think impossible, and they are the result of genetic mutations.

Is Hulk a mutation? ›
