Magic Item Savant and Proficiency

At 14th level ... you ignore all class, race, spell and level requirements. Does this pertain to proficiencies too? Like, could a 14th level Alchemist wield a Holy Avenger, a martial weapon at its core? Imdoing a major confuse. Im reading it as though it does not, right, and my weedy Alchemist cannot wield a Dwarven Thrower, because it’s still a martial weapon
I tried to find an existing thread to post this in, but no dice. Just a simple “they can” or “they can’t and you should know better than asking” should suffice.

You don't need proficiency to wield a martial weapon or any other weapon for that matter. You just wouldn't add your proficiency to your rolls. So yes, you can wield the holy Avenger, but you don't add proficiency, just STR.

Well, yeah. Im quite dirty at myself I forgot that aspect. However, just adding STR and not proficiency won't help my Alchemist one bit. hahaha Thank you!
