I have the LG Tromm Steamwasher (Model WM2487HWM) and I am getting an error code of CL. Googling around I found that it means the Child Lock feature is engaged. The problem is getting it to DISENGAGE. LG's site says to push and hold the Tub Clean/Child Lock button for 3 seconds to clear it.

If [tcL] flashes on the remaining time display when you turn on the power by pressing the Power button, it indicates that it is time to clean the drum, so proceed with Tub Clean.
Unplug the machine and wait a few minutes. Most doors will open once the power is off and the temperature cools off. Try knocking gently on the handle or pressing the pause/start button. Loop fishing line around the locked door and pull away from the door to manually unlock the locking mechanism.
If the control lock has been activated, the control will not function. If you try to push buttons, you may see the code "LoC" or "LC" (depending on your model). This is a reminder that you have set the control lock, and need to de-activate it to allow the washer controls to function.
A CL code or child lock reading on the display indicates that the child lock, also called control lock, is active. When the child lock is active the control panel is disabled and settings cannot be adjusted for most models. Press and hold the key labeled child lock for 3 seconds to disable the feature.
When the child lock is activated, there will either be a key symbol or a "CL" symbol in the display and all the washing machine buttons will be disabled. To deactivate the child lock, press and hold the start button for three to five seconds.
Depending on your specific LG dishwasher model it will be labeled CL or it might be a padlock icon.
