Yes since the spade icon gives 3/5 more skill points (5 for corner)
Considering you can do like, 2 beginner heists solo with stealth to get enough money for a saw or decent loud gun, then a medium-difficulty heist with aforementioned saw or gun to get enough cash and XP for at least a start of a kit... yeah, infamy is worth it. You get a bit of an XP boost for the first 30 min after an infamy, so by the time the boost is done you probably won't even feel the loss of initial XP, not to mention the added perks and infamy safes.
