In his book No Rules Rules, CEO Reed Hastings supports “firing a good employee when you think you can get a great one”. The firm has developed the “Keeper Test” to decide whether or not an employee should stay on. Though the company’s firing rate of 8% was slightly above the 6% US average, its annual employee turnover (11%) was below average for tech firms (13%) in 2018.
