How do I insert JSON in a Google Sheet? ›

You can open Google Apps Script by clicking Extensions in the main menu, then selecting Apps Script. A new tab will be loaded for Apps Script. The right side of the screen is where we will insert a special function to insert JSON files to Google Sheets.

To start parsing a JSON file, open Microsoft Excel on your computer and start a new spreadsheet. On the spreadsheet window, in Excel's ribbon at the top, click the "Data" tab. On the "Data" tab, from the "Get & Transform Data" section, select Get Data > From File > From JSON.
