How do I send crypto out of Exodus?

Everything you need to know about sending crypto from your Exodus wallet.

Web3 Wallet

You can send crypto from Web3 Wallet on Ethereum, Solana, and other supported networks.

Open your Exodus Web3 Wallet and a) click on the Wallet icon, then b) click Send.

From the list of tokens, click on the asset that you want to send.

Here a) enter the recipient's address, then b) enter the amount you want to send and c) click Continue.

In Exodus Desktop, a) click on the Wallet icon and then b) select the asset you want to send.

Next, if the asset you're sending is supported on multiple networks, a) click the dropdown menu and b) select the network to send your asset on.

Just like traditional bank transfers, Exodus needs the address you want to send to. This address is similar to a bank account number. You can request a receive address from the person you want to send your crypto to.

You can also scan a QR code with the recipient address or invoice either from your webcam or from your desktop by clicking the QR code button and selecting where to scan from.

Triple-check that the address is correct! Transactions on the blockchain are irreversible.

Optionally, you can enter a personal note to make it easier to remember this transaction in the future. For Bitcoin, Ethereum, and ERC20 tokens, you can enter a custom network fee for a cheaper transaction. Click on the cog symbol in the top left for this option.

Next, type the amount you want to send. Exodus lets you send in the blockchain unit or you can enter an amount of fiat currency value and Exodus does the conversion to crypto for you. Then click Send.

The minimum amount of Bitcoin you can send is 0.00006001 BTC.

Exodus will then confirm again that you have entered the correct details. If all looks good, click the Send button.

Once sent, your transaction has been broadcasted to the network and Exodus will tell you your transaction was successful.

If your crypto has not arrived at the destination straight away, please be patient as your transaction may take time to confirm depending on network congestion before you see it in your receiving service.

When manually inputting an address, be sure to double-check that the address you entered is identical to the address you want to send to. Funds sent to an incorrect address are not recoverable. Blockchain transactions are also not reversible or refundable. If you send crypto to the wrong address it will be lost.

Then type in your note, set your fee, and tap Confirm.

If your wallet is secured with a passcode, TouchID or FaceID, you will need to authenticate before your funds are sent!

Once sent, your transaction has been broadcasted to the network and Exodus will tell you your transaction was successful.

Trezor

These instructions work for any blockchain asset that Exodus and Trezor support. In this example, we will send Bitcoin on the Trezor model T.

Receiving and sending funds on Trezor is only fully supported on Exodus Desktop. Although you can view your Trezor balance on Exodus mobile, sending is not supported. For more information, visit: Trezor on Exodus Mobile.

Before you begin, make sure that you choose the correct network to send the asset on. Before you begin, make sure that the receiving wallet supports the token and network that you are sending. If you are unsure, reach out to the receiving wallet’s support team before sending your funds.

Let's get started with sending crypto on Trezor.

First, make sure your Trezor wallet is connected by following our Trezor connection guide.

If your Send button is greyed out, it would indicate that the Trezor is not connected to Exodus or has trouble connecting to Exodus. Please see our troubleshooting guide for help with connection your Trezor.

Next, select your Trezor portfolio by a) clicking the Settings icon, b) select Portfolios, then c) click your Trezor portfolio.

Next, to confirm the transaction on your Trezor, press and hold the green button Hold to confirm.
