How to open Google Wallet (2024)

You can quickly find and use any cards, passes, or IDs that you’ve saved to Wallet.

With the Google Wallet app

  1. Open the Google Wallet app How to open Google Wallet (1).
  2. Find any items that you added to Wallet.
    • To find cards that you added as payment methods: Swipe left and right.
    • To find and use other cards, passes, and IDs that you added: From the bottom of the screen, swipe up.
    • To use any card, pass, or ID you stored: Tap on it.

With a Samsung phone

On supported Samsung phones, you can add a Google Wallet shortcut to your lock screen, side key, or Bixby key.

Add a shortcut to your lock screen

  1. Turn on your phone.
  2. Touch and hold the lock screen.
    • To sign in, follow the on-screen instructions.
  3. To replace anexisting shortcut, tap the Red minusicon next to the app.
  4. To add a shortcut, tap Plus.
  5. Select the Google Wallet app How to open Google Wallet (2).
  6. Tap Done.

Tip: To open an app shortcut from the lock screen, swipe the shortcut in any direction.

Add a shortcut from the Side key

  1. Go toSettings.

  5. To select an app, tap Settings.

Important: This method only works on devices with Android 12 and up. Some Android phones may not have this feature as part of the Quick Settings menu.

  1. Unlock your phone.
  2. To find the Quick Settings menu, from the top of your screen, swipe down.
    • To expand it fully, swipe down again.
  3. Tap the tile for Wallet. If you added a card, it appears here.
  4. You can find and use debit and credit cards that you added. To find everything that you added to Google Wallet, at the bottom of the screen, tap Show all.
    • To find cards that you added as payment methods: Swipe left and right.
    • To find and use other cards, passes, and IDs that you added: From the bottom of the screen, swipe up.
    • To use any card, pass, or ID you stored: Tap on it.

From the lock screen

Important: This method only works on devices with Android 12 and up. Some Android phones may not have this feature. To access Google Wallet from the lock screen, you must first add a payment method.

Turn quick Wallet access on or off

  1. Open your phone’s Settings app.
