How to obliterate yourself at the Obelisk in risk of rain two? ›

To obliterate yourself at the obelisk, you'll need to reach the area called A Moment, Fractured. You can get there by entering a Celestial Portal. Approach the obelisk, then choose to obliterate yourself to end the game.

Upon reaching the Obelisk, interact with it and you'll be asked whether you want to obliterate yourself from existence. If you wish to do this, you can tap the “E” button twice and watch as your character sacrifices themselves to the Obelisk.

There are two good reasons to choose to obliterate your character: First, it is the sole action required to earn the True Respite in-game achievement. The second reason is that choosing to sacrifice the character is the only action that will unlock the Mercenary character.

Tougher Times is an item in Risk of Rain 2. The item grants a 15% (+15% per stack) chance of negating incoming damage.
