When you download software from VoiceX, it will typically be provided as a .zip (archive) file. This type of file combines and compresses several other files and/or folders into a single file for ease of downloading.
It is important to follow the below steps to ensure that your software is installed correctly:
- Click on the provided download link (URL) and choose the Save option if prompted
- When the download completes, double-click on the .zip file to view its contents
- Select all of the contained files/folders (press Ctrl + A)
- Extract the files (Copy & Paste or Drag & Drop) to a convenient location like your Desktop (for tidiness, create a new folder first)
- Once the operation is complete, open the new location and double-click the installer (usually setup.exe or <program name>.exe)
- Follow the prompts to install your software
- For tidiness, delete the new folder and extracted files after installation is complete (you may wish to keep the downloaded archive for future use)
