Cashing in basically means putting money on your GCash account and there’s a variety of ways on how to do it.

Table of Contents

Cash In Over the Counter

Cashing in over the counter is a very straightforward process. Personally, I always cash over the counter via 7-Eleven because it’s the nearest option that I have in my area.

If it’s your first time to cash in over the counter, you simply have to log in to your GCash account and tap on ‘Cash In’ on your screen. Click on ‘View All’ to see all available GCash partners where you can cash-in. Once you have found the establishment where you can cash in, just tap on it and it will show you the instructions.

As I have mentioned above, I always cash in via 7-Eleven and they have a machine wherein you just have to input all the required details such as mobile number and amount. It will then generate a receipt with a barcode and all I have to do is to give that to the cash counter together with the money.

Easiest Way to Cash In

The easiest way to cash in over the counter is by generating a bar code on your own mobile phone. All you have to do is to tap on ‘Cash In’ and then tap on ‘View All’ on the ‘Over the Counter’ part of your screen and you will see the ‘GeerateBarcode’ option on the upper right side of your screen. Tap on ‘Generate Barcode’ and then type in the amount that you want to cash in. Your mobile phone will then generate a barcode and just give it to the cash counter of your chosen establishment (GCash partners).

Please note that some over-the-counter partners may ask for your ID so just be ready to present one just in case.

Please be advised as well that cashing in is free in all over-the-counter outlets until you reach a monthly threshold of Php 8,000. Once you have reached this limit, a service fee of 2% will apply each time you cash in. The applicable fee will be deducted automatically from the amount you cashed into your GCash wallet.

The good thing is, this limit refreshes on the first day of each month. So basically, you can cash-in over-the-counter- for up to Php 8,000 for free every month.

Cash In via Online Banking

You can also cash in via online banking and the most convenient way to do so is by enrolling your BPI or Unionbank account. If you don’t have an account with either BPI or Unionbank, don’t worry as you can still load up your GCash Wallet via any of the banks listed on the Online banks’ option.
