What is FIDO Authentication?
FIDO is a set of open standards for two-factor and multi-factor authentication created by the FIDO Alliance. FIDO stands for Fast IDentity Online and uses public-key cryptography to provide strong authentication in order to protect users online.
Authentication using a FIDO key is simple - the user simply plugs in the device and touches the button or they can just tap an NFC FIDO key against their smartphone or tablet for authentication on mobile.
