This wiki is about Blooket, a learning website created by Tom & Ben Stewart with the main focus of bringing an alternative and fun way of learning and meanwhile creating memorable experiences with classroom content. Important pages/subpages: Blooks. Game Modes.

Blooket does not permit children under the age of 13 (a “Child” or “Children”) to create an account without the consent and at the direction of a Parent or School official consenting in loco parentis. Children under 13 may create an account with the parent's consent.

The platform was created by Tom and Ben Stewart with the primary objective of making classroom content fun and engaging for learners. By providing an alternative way of learning, Blooket seeks to create memorable experiences with classroom content that will leave a lasting impression on students.

I came up with the idea after playing other review games in the classroom and getting bored of the same kids always winning and the same boring scoring systems. I thought that we could do so much more with technology in the classroom, and Blooket was my answer to how engaging review games really should be.

Blooket is a gamified learning platform where teachers host games through question sets and students answer on their own devices. This is an assessment-centered tool, specifically formative assessment. When students get correct answers, they receive points, which allow them to buy and sell 'Blooks'.

However, you can also get banned from Blooket for several reasons. This blog will explore these reasons and learn how to get unbanned from Blooket and resume our educational gaming.

Yes! All of our essential features are free! You can create an unlimited number of questions set and host a game with up to 60 people (300 people for Plus members—except Racing and team modes).

One game mode in “Blooket” is called “Gold Quest.” In this mode, one will answer questions to open chests which contain either more gold, less gold, nothing or a chance to swap with another player. This creates a game that relies heavily on luck, rather than accuracy of questions.

Blooket is a review game that is very engaging for the students. Students think they are just playing a game, and usually not even realizing that they are actually review material. The review questions can be anything from vocabulary words, to math problems, to identifying a time on a clock.

This game teaches children incorrect ideas and encourages cheating, lying, and other bad acts. It is not a fun game, as no children liked it.

Basically, Blooket provides children with this truly reimagined method for studying—and one that's also very effective. Of course, they're still learning their core classroom content but, with Blooket, they'll do so in more engaging ways—often forgetting they're reviewing key concepts in the process.
