What is CRN certification in Canada? ›

The CRN (Canadian Registration Number) system is the Canadian method of reviewing and registering the design of pressure vessels, piping systems and the fittings used to make them. All Canadian provinces and territories, collectively called jurisdictions, use the CRN system.

The CRN identifies that the design has been accepted and registered for use in that province or territory. The first registering province or territory is indicated by the first digit after the decimal. For example, a design registered first in Ontario and then in British Columbia might be issued the number 0H6245.
