COIN Now Supports Direct Coinbase Redeems for XYO Tokens (2024)

Ever since we were listed on Coinbase and Coinbase Pro, we’ve been working on getting a direct connection between our COIN app redeems and Coinbase Wallets.

Today, that feature has arrived.

This means no gas fees for any redeems for XYO Tokens that are sent directly to a Coinbase Wallet. You can set it up by adding a Coinbase Email to your COIN account, and then selecting the “Coinbase” option during your redeem for XYO.

Keep in mind however, the Coinbase option only works for countries and states where Coinbase allows XYO to be traded, and you also still have the option to redeem to an Ethereum Wallet should you want to. The Ethereum Wallet option will still have a gas fee, and we cannot reverse a redeem to an Ethereum Wallet if you accidentally selected it! Please be cautious and mindful when making redeems.

The Ethereum Blockchain has been struggling with high gas fees for some time. Most cryptocurrency-related applications ask the user to pay for the gas fees involved with transactions, which is what COIN had to do as well.

Ever since we’ve had to make the change, we’ve been excited to find a way to return to the gas-free process for our users, because COIN has always been designed to be an easy, low-risk, and free way to start learning about and earning cryptocurrency.

When XYO Token was listed on Coinbase, this return to a gas-free redeem was once again possible! We’re excited to bring back the original design of COIN, and we hope you are too. Make sure you make an Coinbase Account if you have not already, and add it to your account for any future redeems!
