Boston Reporter Heather Hegedus Leaving TV News (2024)

Heather Hegedus has announced that she is leaving Boston Fox station WFXT after 11 years.

“After 23 years as a journalist & 11 years as an Anchor/Reporter here in Boston, I’ve made the difficult decision to leave news,” she wrote on Facebook, adding that she was given another opportunity she “simply couldn’t pass up.”

There’s no word what that opportunity is.

Hegedus started her career at WIVT in Binghamton, N.Y. and has also worked at WSYR in Syracuse.
