There has been a debate whether people should use a red port or a blue port. Most people use a red port, thinking that its supreme. Well... yes, and no.
Lemme break it down:
Lets say you have 30 bees, so you can access mountain, stump, etc. Now, red is a prominent color in most fields. That includes Rose, Mountain, Mushroom, etc. Blue fields include blue flower field, stump field, pine forest field, etc. But the real question is... Which is better? That answer is both. Let me explain.
Lets talk about its stats:
+150% Convert Rate
+10% Instant Red Conversion
+5% Red Pollen
+1 Red Bee Attack
Now we really don't need to explain the 150% convert rate. However, 10% red instant conversion and 5% more red pollen is a different story. Lets just say your an early gamer in BSS and your currently using the regular Honey Dipper. 5% more red pollen is a big difference. It may not sound like a lot, but lets say you collect 100,000 red pollen, 5% more of it is around 5,000 (Correct me if im wrong). See, if and only if I'm correct, some quests from brown bear, black bear, science bear, etc require red pollen to complete. (Keyword: some). Lets say you collect about 200,000 every couple minutes (lets say 2-3). In 10, you'd collect 600,000 and an extra 100,000 (Or at least I think. Correct me if I am wrong). Very useful for collecting honey and conversion. Bee attack? Not much to discuss depending on your hive and bees.
Now lets talk about the blue hive.

+5% Blue Pollen
+1 Blue Bee Attack
Not to much of a different except the blue instant conversion and pollen increase. Now you may think, "How is blue hive good? There's more red pollen then blue. Red a common color aside from white." True, true. BUT, don't forget about the quests. Blue can be a bother to collect (since you'll most likely have a red hive.), but that doesn't mean you need to switch everytime. See, the hives are good for different things. Blue is useful for quests that require it, while for the red hive, its good for grinding and collecting.
So if you're trying to grind for something, red is right up your ally. If your trying to complete a blue pollen themed quest, then its the blue for you!
