• Good Shield Cards
Middle Axie
• Secondary Defense
• Energy Gain
• High Damage Cards
• Debuff Cards
Back Axie
• Combo Cards

Front Axie

High Base Health

Try to look for Axies with 55 or higher base health. It is also important to consider which class you should get for this position. The Plant, Reptile, Dusk class naturally has a higher base health compared to other classes.

Good Shield Cards

Choose cards that can give you decent a Shield when played. This way, you will have a better chance of surviving the round while you are saving up for your combo cards and energy.

Middle Axie

Additional Defense

Your middle Axie can be built as a second line of defense. This strategy will allow you to completely rely on your backline Axie to finish off enemy Axies.

Energy Gain Cards

Energy Gain cards such as Nimo, Luna Absorb, and Kotaro can help you prepare to be able to perform combo cards. This will also increase your chances of winning the fight during 1v1 situations since you wouldn't need to skip a turn to use 3-4 cards.

High Damage Cards

The middle Axie should also have 1 or 2 high damaging cards to soften up the enemy team.

Debuff cards

If possible, try to get debuff cards that can apply Speed-, Stun or Fear. Applying these debuffs can change the outcome of the fight especially if you are able to use this before the 1v1 starts.

Back Axie

Combo Cards

Most of your damage will come from this Axie. It is recommended that you get combo cards such as Single Combat and Ivory Stab or Mystic Rush and Allergic Reaction to guarantee that you can kill off the enemy Axie in a single turn.

Backdoor Cards

Axie Infinity | How To Choose 3 Axies - GameWith (9)

Having a change target priority card along with high damage cards will allow you to pick off enemy Axies in the backline.

Speed Stat Helps

Axie Infinity | How To Choose 3 Axies - GameWith (10)

Having a higher speed than your opponent guarantees that you will attack first. A pure Aquatic class Axie will have 57 speed while a pure Beast class Axie will only have 41 speed, this could be the deciding factor when it comes down to 1v1 situations especially if you have a low base health. If the enemy Axie is faster than you, try to apply a Speed- debuff or keep your middle Axie alive for as long as possible to make the fight 2v1.
