No. You can access funds in your balances by withdrawing the funds to your bank. If you would like to access a specific currency using a Payoneer card, you can order one through the Payoneer Cards menu.

You can have one active primary card in each currency. This can be either a virtual or physical card.

In each currency for which you have a primary card, you can also order additional virtual cards that are linked to the primary card. So, for example, if you hold a primary physical or virtual card in USD, you can order additional virtual USD linked cards. You can read more about linked cards here.

Note that the availability of linked cards is based on eligibility and may not be available to you or in your country or region.

Linked cards are virtual cards that are “linked” to a primary card in a specific currency. For each primary card you hold in a specific currency, you can order additional linked cards in that currency.

Please keep in mind the following about linked cards:

    • Linked cards share the same expiration date as the associated primary card.
    • The primary card must be active in order to use any of the cards linked to it. If the primary card expires or is deactivated for any reason, all of its associated linked cards will become permanently unavailable for use.
    • The funds available at any point in time on the primary card also reflect the total funds available on all its linked cards. For example, if I have 8,500 USD available to spend on my primary USD card at some point in the day, that same total of 8,500 USD is what is available to spend on all its linked cards at that time.

Note that because you can set spend limits on your primary and linked cards, funds availability does not necessarily reflect the actual amount that can be spent. For example, if there is 8,500 USD available to spend, but one of the linked cards has been given a daily spend limit of 5,000 USD, only 5,000 USD can be spent using that linked card. If it is spent, that would leave 3,500 USD available to spend using the primary card and all the rest of the linked cards.

The number of linked cards you can order in all currencies depends on the total amount of funds received to your Payoneer account in the previous 6 months. You’ll be able to see the number of linked cards you can order in your account, during the order process.

There are no additional monthly or annual card fees charged for ordering or holding linked cards. You only pay the fee associated with your primary card.

Fees related to card usage (cross-border transaction fees, ATM withdrawal fees, currency conversion fees, etc) still apply.

You can always see the list of fees associated with your Payoneer card in your Payoneer account.

To order linked cards, follow these steps:

  1. Sign in to Payoneer.
  2. Go to Banks & cards > Payoneer cards.
  3. You’ll see a button or link on all eligible primary cards you hold:
  • If you have no linked cards, you’ll see a button named Add linked cards.
  • If you already have linked cards, you’ll see a link named Linked cards.
  • Click on the button or link.
  • In the Add linked cards box, specify the number of linked cards to add. The maximum number of linked cards you can add is shown below the box. Click the tooltip beside the range to get information on how to add even more linked cards.
  • Optionally, add a nickname prefix. This is recommended so that your linked cards are recognizable afterward. We’ll automatically add a number to the nickname prefix, starting from 1, for each card issued. You can edit the nickname later. For example, enter “My Shoe Store” to get nicknames My Shoe Store 1, My Shoe Store 2, My Shoe Store 3, etc.
  • Review the guidelines about using linked cards.
  • Click Add linked cards.

  • Your linked cards will be issued and then automatically activated. This can take a few minutes.

Once the linked cards are issued, click the Linked cards link on the primary card to view a list of all the linked cards.

Once you have linked cards issued and activated, you can view and manage them from the Linked cards page.

To access the linked cards page, click Linked cards on the relevant primary card.

    To manage linked cards:

    • Use the search field to filter the list of linked cards by nickname or card number.
    • Use the filters to view all cards, new cards that have never been used, or active cards.
    • Click the pencil icon beside the existing nickname to edit the linked card nickname.
    • Click View card details to see the card’s full number and CVV. You’ll need to verify yourself for extra security.
    • Click Cancel card to permanently cancel the linked card.

Note that you can request additional linked cards from the Linked cards page by clicking the Add cards link.

Yes, you can. The card will be issued in the name of the authorized representative whose details were entered when registering to Payoneer.

To view the fees associated with your account:

    1. Sign in to Payoneer.
    2. Click on Fees located in the bottom section of your account.

To see the specific fee applied to each transaction:

    1. Sign in to Payoneer.
    2. Click on Account activity and choose Transactions.

Funds from your currency balance are transferred automatically to your physical card every hour. There is no need for you to do anything.

Note that if card top-up is off, funds will not be transferred to your card.

Spend limits let you set a maximum amount that can be spent on a given card for a specific time period. If you have linked cards, you can set a separate limit for each card.

For example, a daily spend limit let’s you set the maximum amount that can be spent on the card during a 24-hour period.

Note: The daily spend limit is based on funds spent from midnight to 11:59 PM Pacific Time (UTC-08:00).

You can currently set a daily card spend limit.

We will soon be making weekly and monthly spend limits available as well.

    To set a spend limit:

    1. On the Payoneer cards page, select a card.
    2. In the card details page, select Manage spend limits.
    3. Set the desired spend limits for the card.
    4. Optionally, you can apply the same limits to this activated card’s linked cards (if you have linked cards). It can take up to 24 hours for limits to be applied to linked cards.

Note: You can also set limits for individual linked cards that have been activated. For details, see this FAQ.

Once you reach a spend limit, you will no longer be able to make purchases with the card for the duration of the limit period (regardless of the availability of funds on the card). You will still be able to withdraw funds at an ATM, up to your ATM withdrawal limit for the period.

To inquire about changing the maximum spend limit, please contact us.

Yes. The ATM withdrawal limit is a separate limit. Both limits are shown in the card details area.

The amount in your currency balance represents the total amount of funds you have in that currency. The amount available to spend on your card represents the portion of your currency balance that is available for use with the card. So, for example, if you have 10,000 USD in your USD balance and 5,000 USD available to spend on your card, you have 10,000 USD in total (not 15,000 USD) of which 5,000 USD is currently available on the card for ATM withdrawals or purchases online/in-store.

You cannot transfer funds manually to your Payoneer card. Funds are transferred to your card automatically once every hour, on condition that your card holds less than your daily limit.

Note that if card top-up is off, funds will not be transferred to your card.

To view the name that will be printed on the card, please click on "enter alternate shipping address" on the "Order Card" screen.
Please note that to change the name printed on the card, you will need to contact us and provide an official name-change document.

When we top up your Payoneer card, we transfer funds to your card, making those funds available for use with the card at ATMs or for purchases online/in-store. Note that even after we top up your card, the currency balance you see on the Payoneer home page reflects all the funds you have in a given currency (including the funds available on the card).

The card top-up settings let you turn card top-up on or off, or modify the card top-up limit, to suit the changing needs of your business.

    • Need to access your funds at ATMs and for purchases online/in-store? Turn card top-up on.
    • Want to limit the maximum amount of funds available on your card? Customize your top-up limit.
    • Don't need any additional funds on your card at the moment? Turn card top-up off.

Card top-up makes funds from your balance available on your card for spending or withdrawing from an ATM. Spend limits specify the maximum amount that can actually be spent for a defined period.

Example 1: Your USD card is topped up to 10,000.00 USD and your daily spend limit is 5,000.00 USD.

If you spend 5,000.00 USD in the morning, you cannot spend any more that day.

Example 2: Your USD card is topped up to 10,000.00 USD and your daily spend limit is 10,000.00 USD.

If you spend 5,000.00 USD in the morning, you can spend another 5,000.00 USD that day.

Example 3: You have a primary USD card and 3 linked USD cards. Your primary USD card is topped up to 10,000.00 USD at the start of the day (this is the maximum that you'll be able to use on your card that day) and your daily spend limit is 5,000.00 USD on each of the 4 cards.

If you spend 5,000.00 USD in the morning on one card, you’ll be able to spend another 5,000.00 USD in total on any of the other 3 USD cards.

When card top-up is on, we automatically make funds from your balance available for use with the card, at ATMs or for purchases online/in-store. Each time top-up occurs, your card is topped up to its set limit. By default, your card is topped up to its maximum limit*, but you can set a custom top-up limit. Learn more .

Note that all the funds in your balance (including those available for use with the card) are always available for all financial transactions you are eligible to perform in your Payoneer account (including making payments, withdrawing to bank, and managing currencies).

*Your maximum top-up limit is set by Payoneer at its discretion and may vary by country and per other eligibility criteria.

When card top-up is off, Payoneer does not use funds currently in your balance or any new incoming payments to top up your card. Funds already on your card remain there for use at ATMs or for purchases online/in-store.

You can turn top-up on or off as many times as you like.

Note that the funds on your card are still available for all financial transactions you are eligible to perform in your Payoneer account (including making payments, withdrawing to bank, and managing currencies).

Note that changing your top-up limit setting does not change the daily limits you have on your card for ATM cash withdrawals or purchases.
