Why Invest In Yourself?

The thing is, when you invest money, you really invest and you’re much more likely to see results from such an investment.

For example, once I enrolled in the blogging courses by Create and go, I had money invested which means I had to be invested.

I was in it and more determined to make it work and have results than ever.

If you don’t invest anything, it’s easier to shy away, not do the work and eventually not get those results you were hoping for.

Investing in my blog and myself has been the most pivotal thing I’ve done.

I show up, I do the work and my online business continues to grow as I invest more of my time and money.

I honestly don’t think I’d be where I am today if I hadn’t invested.

And for that, I am so thankful.

To sum things up – if you want fulfillment and happiness, say yes to investing in yourself and your personal development.

I get it though…

Investing can feel scary.

What if it doesn’t work out?

What if it’s a waste of money?

Investing in your personal growth requires some serious courage.

But it’s so much better to pursue your dreams and go all-in than to be stuck wondering what could have been.

Plus, investing has the capability to speed up any process.

Let’s get into the 5 ways to invest in yourself and your personal growth.

1. Redesign Your Morning Routine

This is a biggie and one of my favorite ways to invest in my personal growth.

For tomorrow, I highly suggest you set your alarm to just 15 minutes earlier, dear dreamer.

By just getting 15 more minutes on your hands in the mornings, you’ll have more time to focus on starting the day right and with more intention.

Eventually, you’ll be able to set back your alarm to 30-60 minutes, and you’re on your way.

Some of my favorite things to do in the morning to uplevel my personal growth game are:

  • Journal it out
  • Work on changing my limiting beliefs into more supportive thoughts that back up the results I want to see in my dream life
  • Read a chapter of an inspiring book
  • Spend 10 minutes visualizing my dream life
  • Watch motivational clips on YouTube
  • Meditate for 5-10 minutes
  • Listen to inspiring podcasts (for example, The Life Coach School Podcast)

There is so much you can do to successively change your life – all in 15 minutes at the start of your day.

The small difference in your morning routine can make such a big difference down the line.

Estimated time investment: Stop snoozing and wake up 30 minutes earlier.

2. Hire A Life Coach

Life coaching is changing my life.

Until I started my blog devoted to personal development and dream chasing, I never really thought about life coaching as a thing.

It wasn’t until I discovered Brooke Castillo’s podcast, The Life Coach School, that I opened my eyes to this new concept.

Life coaching is future-focused and teaches you how to live an exceptional life and get amazing results by doing the life-changing mindset work.

It basically teaches you how you can successfully chase your dreams and work through limiting beliefs in the process.

I believe every single person needs a life coach.

Even coaches need coaching.

3. Start A Blog

Who knew this one was coming?

Starting and running a blogging business is a personal growth journey in and of itself.

It doesn’t matter the niche, personal development or not, you will learn so much about yourself in the process of starting a blog.

I know I have.

After all, you’re starting your own business, which means you’ll go outside your comfort zone on the regular.

Taking action and going outside your own comfort zone is growth, and from this growth comes results.

Estimated investment per year: $100

4. Self Care For The Win

Self-care is a buzz term that can mean a lot of different things to different people.

However, implementing a self-care routine is an amazing way to invest in yourself.

It’s a way to make sure you’re feeling good while taking care of your mind, body, and soul.

Some things you can do to practice daily self-care:

  • Daily exercising
  • Treat yourself to a hot bath
  • Go for a long walk in nature
  • Yoga
  • Meditate daily
  • Pamper yourself with a facial or a massage

You do you, honey.

Estimated time investment: 2 hours per week or 20 minutes daily

5. Enroll In An Online Course

Online educations are super hot right now.

You can work at your own pace, in your own safe space, and with lifetime access to the curriculum.

Hello fellow introverts! I see you and I feel you. ❤️

I’ve taken about 10 online courses to date and have found them to be the best and most valuable education there is.

In fact, I’ve loved learning about myself and my capabilities so much that it sparked me to create my own online courses for my audience – the true dreamers.

And so, Dreamer To Blogger was born.

Before You Go

Investing time or money into something naturally creates motivation.

And sometimes, it’s that exact motivation we’re lacking as we pursue new goals for ourselves.

Have a think about your life as is now, and how you can make a difference by investing.

Perhaps it’s investing more time to read or by putting money into a tool you know will give you the nudge you need to see your dream results.

Investing in yourself is the best investment you can make and it tops all the stocks in the market (in my opinion).

You’re courageous.

You can totally do this – I just know it.
