3 Ways To Make Money In Your Sleep (2)

Yeah. I know. It sounds fishy. Like a big scam, right? But here’s the thing. If you instantly think that everything is a scam, your mind is closed to all the possibilities that exist in life. Can you actually make money in your sleep? Yes. Is it easy? Heck no.

If it was really easy to snooze your way to millions, everyone would be doing it, wouldn’t they? No, it’s not easy to make money while you’re sleeping. That’s for sure. But it is possible. That is one-hundred percent the God’s honest truth. And I know you know that.

But the question boils down to this. Is it possible for you? And that answer depends on what you’re willing to do. Yeah, this is about putting in the effort and grinding for a bit. Although, you’re already doing that for a meager salary at your current job, aren’t you?

I don’t say that to dismiss the amount of money you’re making right now. I just want to open your eyes to the possibilities of what you can do when you simply throw away all your false beliefs about money. I know it’s hard. Those learned beliefs have been with you for ages.

Can you teach an old dog new tricks? Meaning, can you unlearn everything you’ve been taught about money your entire life? Not just as an adult. We’ve all heard these money myths before. They go a little something like this:

  • Money is the root of all evil
  • Money doesn’t grow on trees
  • Money doesn’t buy happiness
  • Money isn’t everything

All of these myths have been instilled in you from very early on in your childhood. But they’ve also been ingrained in you througout your adult life. But this isn’t your parent or guardian’s fault. It’s meant to protect you from getting hurt.

Because, the truth is this. The absence of money is painful. When you don’t have money to pay your bills, feed your family, or provide a roof over your head it’s painful. But in order to make real money you have to unlearn what you’ve been taught about money.

Your beliefs about money are getting in the way of your ability to make money. Not just in your sleep. I’m talking about the simple lack of money in general. But once you open your eyes and your heart to the various ways you can do this, everything changes in an instant.

One quick distinction before we get into it. There’s a difference between making money actively and passively. Some look at passive income as the Holy Grail. It really does allow you to make money while you sleep. But not all passive income is one-hundred percent passive.

Meaning this. Let’s say I have a blog with a bunch of affiliate links where I get paid each time you click one of them and buy. Yes, it might seem passive. But there’s a lot of maintenance that goes on in the background to keep the site healthy and content flowing to maintain targeted traffic.

However, it’s far better to work one time and get paid repeatedly than to work once and get paid once. Active income is a job. You already have a job and you might even have more than one. You don’t need another one. What you need is to figure out how you can work once and get paid a bunch of times.

Working one time and getting paid a bunch of times is more like passive income than active income. Except, you have to put in a lot of work in the beginning without getting paid. I’m going to show you how you can do that the right way.

If you really want to make money while you sleep (as corny as that sounds) you need to have a great offer. In the marketing industry we call this an irresistible offer. Not only do you need a great offer, you have to understand offer structure and how to make that offer in the right way.

Constructing an irresistible offer is the key to everything that you’ve ever wanted. When you can nail the offer, everything else is a walk in the park. The only thing holding you back from making the money you actually want is the right offer.

However, this article isn’t about breaking down every aspect of an offer. To understand offers better, then I would suggest reading this. This is only meant to make you understand the importance of the offer and how to construct it the right way.

Making a great offer boils down to picking the people you will help, knowing the problem you’ll solve for them, and providing a solution that delivers an insane amount of value. This is also known as premium value offers.

The truth is that people are willing to pay a lot of money to solve problems. You just have to make sure you’re targeting the right people, addressing the right problem, and offering the right solution. It may sound like a lot to do, but that’s really what it takes.

This article isn’t your typical piece that teaches ways you can make money in your sleep. Most talk about these passive income strategies that take an immense amount of time to pull off. That’s not what this is about. Again, this comes back to unwinding everything you’ve learned about money.

This is about solving high value problems. To solve a high value problem, you have to first identify the problem you’ll solve. So how do you actually do that? Simple. You need to break things down into buckets to understand where people are willing to spend money to solve high-value problems.

There are three buckets:

  • Health
  • Wealth
  • Realtionships

Each of these three buckets can help you make lots of money. It’s really about choosing the one you’re passionate about solving a problem within that bucket. Health can be anything from ailments to diet and fitness. You name it.

Relationships can be about helping someone meet the love of their life, or even about reinvigorating existing marriages, overcoming a divorce, and so on. Wealth can be anything from wholesaling real estate to investing in stocks, reducing tax burdens and so on.

You catch what I’m throwing here, right? The point is you need to pick one of these buckets and stick to it. This basically becomes your niche. And everything you build is built around solving problems in this niche. So decide, right now, which one it’ll be.

There is simply no way you’ll make money while you’re sleeping (or awake) without an irresistible offer. Your offer must solve a high value problem for high value people. This is not about targeting people who are broke or can’t afford to pay you substantial sums of money.

It all starts and ends with an irresistible offer. If you want to learn more about constructing that offer, I would highly recommend checking out Alex Hormozi’s book, $100 Million Offers to help you construct your offer by identifying and solving the problem the right way.

This offer construction goes deep. There are so many facets to an irresistible offer. But if you can create this grand slam offer, everything else is a walk in the park. At that point, it really just boils down to fulfillment and systems.

No matter what bucket you choose or what problem you solve, to make money, you need a sales funnel. Websites are dead. Sales funnels offer a single direct path for someone to take. This helps avoid overwhelm and leads them down a specific journey.

I won’t get into all the mechanics of sales funnels here. If you want to learn more about how sales funnels work, read this. There are lots of funnel types you can choose from. The point is to take your offer and present it within the framework of a sales funnel.

Your sales funnel is like a little soldier, working day and night without fail. It’s up to you to ensure the right people see your sales funnel. It should be the people facing the problem you’re solving. That goes into the mechanics of using organic social media, video marketing, and more.

Subscriptions are a great way to make money passively. Of course, it’s semi-passive. But it’s still solid. Every business needs a subscription, not just to survive, but also to thrive. Since the cost of acquiring a customer is so high today, subscriptions allow you to increase the amount of money you can squeeze from each customer.

This increases the Lifetime Value (LTV) of a customer and it allows you to spend more money to acquire that customer. If you have a subscription that costs $97 per month and the average customer sticks around for 8 months, that’s far better than selling one product for $97 one time.

I know that wrapping your head around building a subscription might seem scary from the outside looking in. But all you need to do is figure out how to build a high-value subscription service. This doesn’t just need to be a Software as a Service (SaaS) business. It can be a newsletter, membership with weekly trainings, and so on.

I want to make something really clear here. This is not about product development. This is about problem solving. If you have five dollars to spend, don’t spend all five on developing your product. Spend one dollar on the product development and four dollars on marketing.

Meaning, only allocate a small amount of time and capital to building the problem. Instead of that approach, you need to solve the problem and find people to solve it for. If you have no credibility and no social proof, you may need to solve that problem for free for a few people.

That social proof will allow you to build the offer that makes you money while you’re sleeping and while you’re awake. Remember, it’s other people who have the problem and the money to solve that problem. Don’t limit yourself to your personal beliefs about money.

Believe in yourself and test everything. Create an audience in your niche and ask the audience what problems they struggle with if you can’t sort that out on your own. And at the end of the day deliver real value. You won’t make any money unless you do that. Good luck!
