Well, believe or not, many people have done just that and succeeded.
One person reported that they received just over 300 shirts simply by asking for them through email. “In the end, I received 302 free shirts, more than 5,000 pieces of mail, and over 20,000 emails. They keep on coming, I just stopped counting back in 2016,” said Stewart T, the man who started this free college shirt challenge.

How to Ask Colleges for Free Shirts?
There are two ways you can go about this. One, through email, the other, by calling on the phone. Both are very easy to do!
In a few simple steps, here’s how it works.
Step 1: Create an email template. It will save you a lot of time if you can make something that is easy to copy and paste into an email, rather than writing it all out over and over again. Here is a helpful template you can use to ask for a free shirt. If you choose to do this via phone, you may still want to keep that template in mind, as it will help you know what to say when you ask for your free shirt.
Step 2: Gather all the email addresses you can find for colleges you want to contact. If you are contacting by phone, you should, of course, collect their phone numbers instead.
Step 3: Paste your template into the email. You may want to go through really quickly and personalize the email for the college you are contacting so that it doesn’t appear as spam. If you are calling, you also might want to look up some minor details about the college so you can show genuine interest in the institution.
Before you get started, we strongly suggest you only contact colleges in your state or colleges that you are actually interested in attending. It should also be noted that you are more likely to get a free shirt or goodie packet from a college that believes you are likely to attend.
